Ideally located for exploring Volendam, lovely breakfast

Pros: The room was big with a balcony view of the lake. The restaurant was a lovely room. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice. The location was excellent for exploring Volendam on foot and taking the boat to Marken & bus to Edam. The paintings were interesting.

Cons: There were no comfortable chairs to relax in the room. The bedroom decor was very dreary, no pictures on the walls, no information about the hotel for example breakfast time etc. If it is supposed to be 4* someone could have shown us to our room. There were no slipoers or robes to use when visiting the pool/spa area.

Enjoy, even if take a walk for short distance in finding the Mosque around

Pros: Room, location and price is affordable for short stay and enjoying the city. it is also having a friendly circumstance and quite enough when you need the situation to take a deep sleep

Cons: No Breakfast available for the guest

Pros: We loved that you walk out the front door and you were right on the main shopping street and waterfront. The family room was very large and accommodating. We also loved the history of the hotel which you can still see original spaces as you walk through. Such a lovely place.

Spaander has been developed since I last stayed in 2009, Lovely old parts retained - so well done

Cons: It was good but could have been so much better with a little more attention to detail (we're talking 4* hotel & 4* price) I had a twin room. On arrival there was no drinking water, 3 hangers and 2 coffee pods. Rationing?? The public areas of the hotel were immaculate. The toilet bowl in my room (111) hadn't seen bleach or similar cleaning product since?? God knows when. Such a shame, just a little management / supervisory intervention. The faulty shower head received no rectification during my five day stay but saying that it did actually provide water. Not worth ranting at the front of house staff about but again why can't things be managed efficiently (pro rata 4* facade)

Brilliant hotel in an excellent location.

Pros: Brilliant hotel in a beautiful little coastal town. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, with lots of good advice about where was good to eat locally, and some tips on dutch language! The facilities were brilliant, a lovely pool that the kids really enjoyed. The breakfast was excellent and a lovely view of the harbour from the restaurant. The rooms we were staying in were nice and quiet.

Pros: My stay at the hotel was truly a wonderful experience. The room was very comfortable, with beautiful views of the sea that made every morning feel special. The food was absolutely delicious, with great variety and well-crafted flavors. Above all, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always welcoming us with a smile and ready to help with anything. Definitely an experience I’d love to repeat. Thank you for making it so special!

Cons: The only downside I would mention is that there were several cobwebs in the room, and we even noticed some spiders, despite housekeeping coming in daily. It didn’t affect the overall experience too much, but it’s something that could be improved.

Old charms hotel with amazing sea view and gorgeous art paintings

Pros: Old charms hotel with a gorgeous selection of art paintings. My room had a big balcony with sea view. Although centrally located on the strip it is very quiet. Staff at reception, restaurant and spa are friendly. Room has all amenities. I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

Cons: Everything was perfect
