Amsterdam House Hotel

Pros: The location was great, and the view was awesome! The staff members were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and we liked that the room had a table with chairs along with a water boiler and tea/coffee. We also liked that there was an elevator and that there was a place to temporarily leave our luggage after checking out.

A lovely, warm, comfortable, place to stay and exceptionally quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros: A lovely, cosy hotel with great views overlooking the canals. The owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our bed linen and towels were changed daily which was a nice surprise as we were only there for a weekend. The property is near cafes and bars and although we did not have breakfast there it has a gorgeous dining room that adds to its charm and outside seating where we enjoyed a coffee in the sunshine. At the end of our stay we were able to leave our bags for a few hours with no extra charge as our flight wasn’t until the afternoon. It’s in a perfect location to experience the city and we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Thank you.

Cons: The shower was a little tatty but it was clean and there was plenty of hot water.

One of our favourite hotels on our European adventure.

Pros: This little hotel was delightful. Our view over the canal was so picturesque, the room was bright and clean, and the location was central and within walking distance of of everything. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and did not mind( I hope) that we kept eating the sweets on the reception desk. My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying here, and would definitely recommend.

Cons: We were happy with everything. This is not a souless five star hotel, but a quaint historic building on a canal- which was perfect for us.

Pros: The location is fab short walk from rembrandt square. Tram stop a short walk away also

Magnificent view and very nice hotel room

Pros: Nice hotel, with superb views over the big canal, great room, nicely decorated and comfortable, quite cozy, it is a great place to stay.

Pros: Fantastic location and staff were very friendly. Great to tea & coffee making facilities in the room & a little fridge. Lovely canal view too!

Cons: The decor was very tired & could do with a re-vamp. It could also do with a good deep clean. You could tell people have previously smoked in the rooms even though it’s non-smoking.

Pros: The view is amazing. Room is cosy and the bed is comfortable.

Cons: Its quite far from the centre however Amsterdam is a beautiful city to explore, especially by tram.

Worth the money spent

Pros: Location is in the centre. Walkable distance to most of area in the city. Room was comfy and the owner / staff was very kind and helpful.

Pros: excellent location near rembrandt square so excellent tram links and all facilities . Perfect for 3 sisters bar where we ate a hearty full english breakfast every day

Cons: Steep stairs but lift provided . Nice to have had a view over canal but we were at the back
