All monument buildings are restricted by the government and can't be modified which means there are no elevators. Traditional ancient narrow deep stairs have a history of hundred years therefore it is recommended to try to avoid carrying large suitcases that are heavy and have large wheels. Nice. I would stop here again 👌🏻

Pros: Close proximity to the town but not too loud, Complimentary storage for you bags before check-in and after checkout. Very Very comfortable mattress and duvet, and a towel was provided, which I wasn't expecting.

Cons: Can't really think of anything 👌🏻

Pros: Perfectly located hotel, right in the city center and only a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam’s main tourist attractions. The staff was a real highlight during our stay : extremely kind and welcoming, nothing to complain about at all! The room was exactly as shown in the photos, and we didn’t feel cold even though we stayed at the hotel at the end of December. The stairs are very steep, which can be a bit challenging the first time, but nothing too inconvenient. I highly recommend this hotel : the location, comfort, and staff are definite plus points.

Nice hotel. Perfect location.

Pros: The hotel exceeded our expectations. The reception works 24 hs and the staff was friendly. You also have a space to have a beer or eat some snack which was very useful. The room was clean and has everything we needed. It was small but if your idea is only sleep and have a shower there, it's perfect. The location is perfect. You can go to almost everywhere walking.

A near-perfect hostel for a very good price

Pros: One of the best hostels I have been to in Amsterdam. Its location is excellent, it's right in front of the tram station Dam (Lines 2, 12 and 17) but most of the major touristic spots of the city is at walking distance. The Centraal Station is very easy to access too. It is surprisingly quiet at night, and the area is very safe too no matter what time it is. The beds are comfortable, and most people should be able to fit on it without issues. Lots of storage available with a small locker. No need for a padlock; you can use the key provided with your room key. The ensuite bathroom is clean and free soap is provided. Didn't have the opportunity to interact much with the staff, but from what I can tell they are extremely polite and will always try their best to make sure everything's going great.

Cons: I'm being picky here, but the top bunks could benefit from a railing on the side to prevent risking to fall during your sleep and help you get on the bed. It would also be nice to at least have a kettle or a microwave available. The age limit for dorms is not always respected; the person on the bed below mine admitted being over 40.
