Central clean and comfortable.

Pros: Location was excellent, feet from Dam Square, very central. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Will stay again.

Cons: Beds not the most comfortable, too soft for my liking.

Pros: Location of hotel is excellent next to Square and close to station and all attractions. Staff were pleasant and hotel was clean.

Cons: View from room wasn't great and could hear other guests at times in neighbouring rooms. Rooms were quite small.

Pros: 4th stay here.. the location is perfect. Room clean and spacious - we always stay in the premium room and think its very worth the extra.

Great time in a great city

Pros: Hotel great position for all site seeing required. Breakfast was good and fresh. Downside was the hotel was noisy at times during sleeping hours and there was very little noise proofing between rooms. Also the lighting in our room was really dim, so to see anything clearly was not possible. Air conditioning that acted as heating too again was noisy. But for 3 nights it was fine.

A great place to stay for anyone looking to explore the city.

Pros: The breakfasts are excellent. A good range of options, all of which used quality produce/ingredients. My room also had a UK style plug socket, in addition to the standard European sockets. This was a great help as I'd forgotten my adapter. Apparently, not all the rooms are fitted with both socket types, but I got lucky. The central location of the hotel is convenient for all the city's attractions.

We arrived in car and parked across the road stayed for a night and it was really clean and 5 star feel

Pros: Location was 10/10 parking across the road. Everything was perfect. Kids loved it. Staff was really lovely and professional.

Cons: Can have a designated smoking area

Pros: Very central hotel close to everything and 15 minutes walk to Amsterdam Central …extremely kind and helpful reception and restaurant personnel 🙏

Cons: Rooms are a bit small but adequate …breakfast could use a bit more variety but again …adequate 🙏 Housekeeping the room was skipped one day since it was delayed till past 15:00 hrs and by that time I needed the room 🙏

Very satisfied with our stay!

Pros: We stayed at De Roode Leeuw for a couple of nights due to a flight cancellation. The receptionists were extremely helpful organizing our booking, and the general staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good, and the location of the hotel is excellent.

Cons: Our bed was a bit smaller than expected for two people.
