A great stay for those passing by Amsterdam

Pros: Superbly located just outside the busy touristic center (but at very short - walking - distance from it) in a residential area with numerous bars and restaurants. About 20min by metro, and then only 10min walk from de Pijp metro station and located by a canal (actually near a canoeing club). The hotel feels very cozy and warm. The staff was superbly friendly and helpful. The room was big enough, well equipped, quiet and comfortable. Decoration in the hotel is around the Amsterdam Olympic Games of 1928 which took place in the same area (I was told the Olympic Stadium is still visible). A good solution if staying in AMsterdam for pleasure or work.

Cons: There is a kind of Japanese (or Asian) mini garden that would definitely some more attention from the hotel. It would add to the peacful and comfy feeling.

Pleasant stay with outstanding staff and good dining, slightly overshadowed by the expensive parking

Pros: The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. I would especially like to highlight Simon – his service was outstanding and had a major positive impact on our overall experience at the hotel. He truly went above and beyond. The on-site restaurant, The Harbour Club, was also excellent, offering great food in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Cons: The parking fees are clearly overpriced. At €65 per day, this felt excessive, especially as our group had no realistic alternative parking options available. This significantly reduced the overall value for money.

Pros: Excellent location, close enough to centre but far enough away to be relaxed.

Cons: Staff couldn't be more helpful. Very good food in both restaurants.

It’s probably a bit too expensive, but we loved the location and neighborhood

Pros: Location is great, it is not a crowded place, so it’s quiet at night. It’s looking good inside. The room was spacious, beds were comfortable. They refilled coffee pods and tea bags, water bottles, which is very nice. They also provide bathrobes and slippers. We didn’t try their breakfast or restaurant

Cons: Bathroom is a bit rundown, could be less mold on the side of the bath tub. That glass door on the bath tub is very inconvenient to use. Also the flowers in that hallway are fake, plastic

ok

Pros: this is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Apollo in the last 4 yrs. Room 632 was expensive, for just 2 single beds combined into a double and the carpet was not the cleanest Breakfast was expensive when you just need to have a coffee and quick meal as we are in a hurry. Bacon over cooked each day.

Cons: carpet in the room

The stay was great and would be happy to come back.

Pros: The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood on the cross-roads of two canals, in a walking distance to the museum quarter. It has a nice lobby bar and great breakfast with canal view.

Pros: Great location, nice room, very good service, great concierge!

Cons: Breakfast was okay but could be better. I was expecting more different types of breads and toppings for a hotel in the Netherlands, yogurt selection could also be better
