Cozy and comfy and great location -- lovely staff -- would stay again.

Pros: The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Ohne is lovely as are all his colleagues. Bed, duvets, and pillows are fabulous. Location is great -- super close to tram lines and Rijksmuseum. Good restaurants within walking distance.

Cons: There is no lounge area, so nowhere to relax really other than the room. It's a comfy room but be aware that the tram line is RIGHT next door and trams run from 6am to midnight. You get used to it! :) Breakfast is a bit sparse, but the bread is fresh and the coffee is excellent. Boiled eggs would be a nice addition.

Pros: The location was fantastic, and the table by the window in the dining hall was a highlight. Having tea surrounded by cute antiques felt incredibly cozy and special.

A Lovely old hotel with super friendly staff

Pros: Perfect location near the museums , tram and airport bus stops. Very clean . Excellent rooms and breakfast. Coffee available all day . Really friendly and helpful staff. I was unwell for a little while and they really looked after me-thank you:)

Cons: The stairs are very steep so this is not suitable for elderly or disabled people

Pros: Cozy place. Rooms and washrooms are small, but everything is very clean and the location is great and it's a good option in terms of quality-price. Staff is amazing. They gave me great recommendations about the city, and they are quite friendly.

Pros: The location was great and the facilities very confortable and somehow authentic. A highlight is the breakfast room, which is available all day as a lounge space.

Cons: Everything is a little old, which I was ready for. This means you lack some sockets in the room, but also that windows are single glass, ventilation is nonexistent and you need to use a fair amount of heating.

Pros: Old-fashioned hotel with a lot of character, if you are seeking a more cultural experience. Friendly staff. Excellent location if you are interested in visiting two of the most famous museums in Europe (Rikjsmuseum, Van Gogh). Great little cafes serving breakfast and lunch around. Airport bus stop right around the corner.

Cons: Beware of the many many steep stairs you have to climb up to reach the reception, and perhaps your own room. Some may find it a bit challenging.

Great location, if you're looking for a classic Dutch house, it's a great deal at this price.

Pros: Location, value for money, and friendly staff like Frankie. If you are exploring Amsterdam for the first time and looking for a hotel close to the center where you can walk everywhere, this is a great option.

Cons: The hotel has no problems except that it is a bit old. Of course, the steep and numerous stairs can be a problem for guests (as well as for those who return to the hotel drunk).
