THE FRITZ Hotel Amsterdam

A good budget friendly hotel well places for the canals and Jordaan.

Pros: Perfect location in the canal and right by the museum. The team were fabulous. A quirky hotel with great toasties and superb coffee.

Pros: Loved the location across the road from the Reijksmuseum and in the cultural district. We booked the small room and yes it was tiny but a great view and good sized bathroom with amenities. Having separate doona covers was useful as i was sharing with my daughter. Good food everywhere nearby. Staff and the Downstairs coffee shop & gallery( Mina) We're great. Would stay here again.

Pros: I spent my days in the coffee shop inside the hotel. Music was nice, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Cons: Bathroom does not have heating, which you can tell when you enter. Is not a big difference, but in cold weather is noticeable. Fun fact: the bathroom and shower have a much better design and are spacious compared with the bedroom

Absolutely amazing

Pros: The stay was perfect! The view of the Rijksmuseum was stunning, the staff extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. The room and the bathroom were very clean. I would definitely come back when in Amsterdam.

Great location and wonderful staff

Pros: The hotel staff was really helpful and approachable. They provide all the information related to your stay at the hotel, and will answer all of your questions. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, near a Metro station, and in a lively neighbourhood. Great stay for the first time visiting Amsterdam!

Cons: The room was very compact, which I didn't mind since I was staying for one night only. However, the window looked out at the elevator and hallway, so there was no natural light. Considering some people (like myself) have a slight problem with closed spaces, it would be nice if this was somehow mentioned during the booking process.

Pros: Great location close to tram station and city center. Having electronic key is nice. Staff accommodated me switching the dates of the stay.

Cons: Elevator is extremely slow, stairs are steep and narrow, limited availability of receptionists, shower head finishes your shower with a quick cold shower unless you know what you're doing.
