Catalonia Vondel Amsterdam

Pros: My stay was excellent after finally settling on a room that I could get into..no stairs, not below ground or slanted ceiling...I was upgraded to a bigger n very comfortable room bathroom..I really appreciated the reception staff for understanding..I felt bad but some things I just can't do..

Cons: After 3rd room selection not a lot...one elevator is tiny if going up to 4th floor...down 3 sets of stairs to catch the lift to the 5th floor..my travelling companions paid extra for a large room..wre given a room on the 4th floor. Tiny with slanted ceiling n no room to move..complained n put in larger room on level 1 subterranean..but it was ok...otherwise all staff great!!

Pros: - Staff were very friendly and approachable - Great location in the Leidseplein area with local amenities and transport links - Spacious room, climate control and beds were comfortable! - Shower and bath options

Cons: - Lock on the bathroom door was broken

Pros: The location is perfect- easy walking distance to the major museums, shopping, restaurants, tram lines and parks. The street itself is extremely quiet (and lovely) but in a couple of minutes you are in the center of all the action. The hotel is well maintained and every member of the staff was lovely. We had an ample room and the amenities were super. If/when we are back in Amsterdam we would not consider staying anywhere else.

Great hotel in a perfect location to explore the centre of Amsterdam.

Pros: We were upgraded to a better room which was a nice surprise. It was spacious and clean with good facilities. The reception staff were very friendly and a shout out to Guillermo who even gave us a little gift when we left! Also,very convenient for the bus stop, less than 5 minutes walk, to get the 397 bus to the airport.

Cons: It was a bit hot at night and the air con unit didn't seem to work. A bit of noise occasionally from nearby rooms but generally quiet.

Pros: Staff very professional and approachable,. Food very good and extremely reasonable. Location in museum quarter. Breakfast very good.

Pros: Very spacious room for Amsterdam standards, very comfortable bed and bathroom. Shower gets hot really quickly.

All you need for a great stay!

Pros: The location is great, in the heart of Leidseplein, minutes of walking distance to the museumsquartier and Vondelpark and the stops of main tram lines. You can find everything you need in the walking distance. Also can reach very easily to the Central station taking the tram. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room was super clean and comfortable, had all the facilities for a great stay. Strongly recommended!

Pros: From checking in to checking out, everything was great, nice staff and great location. Nothing to complain about, well done!

Pros: Located near Leidseplein but in a quiet side street, the hotel is a calm oasis in the bustling city. Our room at the top floor was spacious and quite striking with its exposed wooden beams. We‘d choose the Catalonia again!
