We had a fantastic stay at Dikker & Thijs Hotel in Amsterdam!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Dikker & Thijs Hotel in Amsterdam. The receptionist warmly welcomed us and surprised our children with complimentary teddy bears and coloring materials — such a lovely touch. Special thanks to Aida in the restaurant for going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The room was spotless, and the entire hotel was impeccably clean. Truly a home away from home — highly recommended!

Cons: The only small issue was that the hair dryer was not working properly, but overall we had a lovely experience and would happily return.

Would highly recommend

Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was beautiful and fabulous location

Cons: They were having work done there so woken up at 8am to hammering but understandable as they were making improvements

Perfect snowy stay in January

Pros: A perfect stay, cannot fault the room, hotel, staff, location!! Family friendly. I'd made a small personal request which was also accommodated. Definitely rebooking this hotel when we revisit Amsterdam.

An excellent well-located hotel, friendly, clean and quiet with superb rooms and breakfast.

Pros: As requested we were given a well-appointed good sized room with a pleasant view over Prinsengracht. There is no noise from the rest of the hotel, but some noise from the street, although not enough to bother us. The comfortable breakfast room offers a superb selection and is served until 11. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, being close to many attractions and next to a tram stop and not far from the airport bus stop.

Cons: The only downside is the price, but all hotels in Amsterdam are now becoming very expensive,

Amazing January Trip in the Snow

Pros: The room was a great size and layout. Considering the weather the windows really held out the cold amd tje radiators more than kept us warm. The view of the canal from the 2nd floor was wonderful, especially when it was snowing. The staff were more than helpful and the location was amazing, sights in every direction amd food options everywhere.

Cons: If you prefer an english breakfast you'll need to go somewhere local, but not a thing to complain about.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Pros: Everything! Room was lovely, very spacious, cosy (with added bonus of a lift!)., Great location - 30 mins wander thro the canals area to Centraal Station, and 5 minutes from the buzzy Leidseplein area with huge choice of restaurants, bars and things to do. Breakfast was lovely, very fresh, good range of choices. And freshly squeezed orange juice on demand. Free tea and coffee (and occasional pastries if you're quick!) in the residents' coffee lounge. Lovely decor - great mix of modern and traditional. Staff exceptional - welcoming and helpful.

Cons: Nothing - all good

Lovely old building in great location and fantastic breakfast.

Pros: Lovely building and fantastic breakfast- really top quality.

Cons: Booked a superior canal room ( twin) room was huge but the beds were jammed next to each other, so felt like a double. We moved them apart ourselves to give more space.

Great for long stay if you choose the spacious rooms and friendly staff.

Pros: - Very friendly staff. - Great location. - Spacious room ( 5th floor) - Have an elevator. - Accommodating with late checkout and luggage storage after checkout. - I was on honeymoon and when the staff found out, they gave us a lovely letter and a small gift.

Cons: - The body wash was filled with water. - They use window spray to clean the glasses that is used for drinking, i asked the housekeeper to clean the glasses and he sprayed some in the glasses and told me i can clean them in the sink, he offered doing that for me but i said no thank you ill do it myself then. - Sometimes it's noisy from the busy street side, but we were on the 5th floor, i bet the lower floors can't sleep at night.
