Pros: The room was fantastic, so warm, welcoming, clean, aesthetically pleasing, the view of the canal was phenomenal.

Pros: We had the most wonderful stay at the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American this weekend and couldn’t recommend it more highly! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The location is absolutely perfect right in the heart of Amsterdam, making it easy to explore the city’s shops, canals, museums, and nightlife all on foot. The trams are easily accessible, just a few minutes from the stops. Our room was spotless, beautifully styled, and extremely comfortable. An upgrade on arrival was greatly appreciated. The beds were amazing, and after busy days exploring, it was the perfect place to relax. The hotel itself has such character and charm, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We would highly recommend!

It was just what I needed!

Pros: Location was great because there were so many trams that go to central station, which I needed to get to for visiting friends and relatives by rail to other parts of the country. Also its only a walk away from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. Facilities were excellent and I like the fact that they had full size umbrellas in the hotel lobby which you could hire with your credit card. I didn't avail myself of them because I'm always losing them and I would have lost my 20 euro deposit most certainly!

Cons: Wifi was intermittent and my devices didn't always remember the log in details, so I had to keep manually typing in the password to gain access. The gym could do with a few more machines

Pros: Convenient location good staff and balcony and very comfy overall

Cons: Balcony door wouldn’t close properly where I stayed and also depending on where your room is you’ll hear loud noises from people outside / trams .. the balcony rooms facing the fountain side could use better sound insulation
