Hotel V Frederiksplein

Definitely more deserving than three stars...

Pros: We were a family of three and had a loft room (first floor). The room exceeded our expectations in that it was large, clean and very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. When the radiators went off it could be a little cold, but there was a stove in the room which once turned on, heated the space very quickly. High ceilings, exposed brickwork, kitchenette, nice furniture and nice well stocked toiletries. We had breakfast included which was lovely - croissants, pastries, warm bread rolls, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt etc. The hotel is a short walk from the metro and there are trams outside the door. Another short walk to many restaurants.

Perfect for a short weekend

Pros: It’s very cosy and comfortable, staff very attentive and friendly. Very well connected with the city centre.

Cons: The shower towels a bit small for my liking. A bit of noise from other people next to our room

Pros: The hotel was lovely and clean and the location was perfect with tram stops right outside of the hotel to commute to the City Centre.

Pros: The hotel was very clean and everyday room service would clean everything . The staff were very helpful and very polite and friendly.

Cons: The property is very central and a quick walk to Rembrandt square. Close to a supermarket and very easy to access form Amsterdam centeraal and the airport.

Looked after, clean rooms and welcoming staff.

Pros: Very modern, changed towels and freshened room up for us when we were out in the day. Looked at my booking notes and let us have a free drink with a chocolate bar on arrival and wrote a note for the birthday boy! Staff were always there when you needed to pop a question and always helped out when asking for help.

Cons: The lift only went up to second and was a small one so with suitcases one had to take the stairs. The room we stayed in wasn’t 100% warm even after turning up the heating, the bathroom was freezing especially the floor.

It was all we needed to have a comfortable time in Amsterdam - perfect.

Pros: Location was Brillant and the room perfect for a long stay to have a kitchen and room to move made the stay comfortable and easy to walk or catch the tram or train....... we are aving up to come back!!

Cons: Too small rooms and the pictures doesn’t look the same as they are at the hotel. We booked our room according the pictures as well but it did not matched :) and.. the rooms are so cold
