Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam

Perfect for a one night stay close to the airport.

Pros: Very pleasant spacious, well equipped room. Standard room was adequate for our one night stay. Free shuttle back to the airport. Efficient check-in and out.

Pros: We had a very nice room, a suite since we needed a room with a fridge. The hotel is in front of a really nice restaurant which is nice so you don't depend on expensive hotel food! The staff was mostly very nice and it's located closely to the airport.

Cons: I didn't like that they increased the prices extremely,we were stuck due to the snow and could not fly back to South Africa. Unfortunately some businesses take advantage of people's misery only to make more money! Luckily not all businesses around Schiphol airport did this so we could move to another place after one night at Steigenberger..

Suits well for stay before flight

Pros: Staff at the reception very kind and helpfull Nice, clean and comfortable rooms with good equipment (e.g. with iron and ironing board as well) Water, coffee (KIMBO) and tea for free on the room Large and comfortable bed (Superior Plus room) Soft carpets in the hotel No problem with elevators, two available for this tower Only a small remark - at some places on the furniture in the room the usage was visible but overall not a problem Breakfast was very tasty with rich offer -e.g. fresh omelette according wish, sunny-side up egg, soups, etc, really good and delicious everything. Shuttle bus to the airport very accurate

Cons: At arrival in the evening I asked for invoice with company data for next day (morning at checkout) and filled the company data to the registration form due to it so the invoice will be filled with those data next day at checkout. Despite done so, the next day morning at checkout another lady at the reception asked for company data again and told me it was not filled anything in their system. Prices at the bar (Sport&Media Bar)- a draught beer 0,25L for €5,25 (Heineken) till €6,95 (Brand) and 0,5L for €9,95 (Heineken) till €12.95 (Brand) I found too much compared to other similar hotels at the location.

Good airport hotel

Pros: Shuttle bus was punctual and reliable. Rooms were basic but comfortable

Nice hotel and great facilities but staff can be hot and miss.

Pros: Hotel was clean and the leisure facilities are excellent.

Cons: Morning of checkout the receptionist was extremely rude and then I get home to find my card had been billed £95 more than what I paid via booking

Comfy, spacious stay, relaxed atmosphere

Pros: I have stayed here a few times now and it’s is always clean, comfortable and spacious. Great facilities with free airport shuttle and sports bar.

Cons: There’s always a bit of a wait to get checked in at the property.

Pros: Helpful and sympathetic reception staff on check-in when we were exhausted after a very long and disrupted journey. The room was stylish albeit a bit too dark. We liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom but couldn't find a way to control the temperature in there. The shuttle bus with the tracking system was much appreciated.

Cons: The line for the shuttle bus back to the airport needs to be managed better. Some kind of markings on the ground or system indoors to indicate where to line up is needed, anything to stop it becoming a free-for-all when the bus arrives.

Good hotel with good staff

Pros: Good breakfast and good rooms executive floor. Staff very attentive and positive

Cons: Shuttle is still await to get back to the airport
