Van der Valk Hotel Leusden - Amersfoort

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. Surroundings, atmosphere were nice, not too crowded.

Cons: We booked 2 rooms, 1 room supposed to be the 60 square; upon check in, got 2 same rooms for uninformed. The staff was very kind, though, and apologised a couple of time, letting us know that that room was unavailable. We received some compensation, but not sufficient comparing to the room price.

Pros: We recently stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel in Leusden-Amersfoort. We were two adults and our dog. We booked the hotel just for one night before our ferry trip back to the UK,and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The location is ideal—quiet and serene with a lovely park nearby that was perfect for walking our dog. The room was spotless, cozy and warm, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast selection was impressive, catering to all kinds of dietary preferences with plenty of delicious options. The large car park was an added convenience, making parking stress-free. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return in the future. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and welcoming experience.

A perfect stay – clean, cozy, and delicious from start to finish!

Pros: I had a wonderful stay! The room was extremely comfortable and very clean – everything was spotless. The bed was cozy, and the space was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and fresh options. I also loved the bar and the restaurant – both had great food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Pros: the rooms were very spacious, staff friendly and helpful, parking for free, the breakfast was absolutely amazing

Cons: I ordered a double bed to share it with my 1y old boy and despite it I got a room with a gap between two beds. The hotel is very close to a road, so if you want to sleep with an opened window, you might be disturbed by the noise

Great hotel - lovely room, modern bathroom, great wifi

Pros: Lovely big room, great wifi. Bathroom nicely refurbished to a modern standard with large walk-in (rain)shower. The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons: Housekeeping is a bit noisy in the hallways, which is quite audible in the room. This is a bit inconvenient when working in the room, being on conference calls.

Very nice and relaxing

Pros: My wife and I celebrated our birthdays during our stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is absolutely great. The hotel is around 20’ by bus from Amersfoort. I highly recommend it!

Very pleasant stay!

Pros: Very pleasant stay and the room was the largest I have ever had in a hotel. Also the room was very clean. And there was a welcome surprise for my dog, which was super cute and kind. The hotel staff was very attentive and took care (proactively!) of my special need that I formulated just as a question but then there was immediately a solution. Very good experience.

Cons: Nothing really. Pls mind the ground floor rooms require you to take some steps up, as much as it is not a problem for most it might be if you require assistance, have a baby stroller or -as in my case - I was there with a blind and anxious dog that can't take stairs and panicks to be llifted up (see picture).. As said before, the staff helped us amazingly by offering another room. This is just for awareness and if you can't take stairs, make it clear upfront while booking so you will be allocated elsewhere. Ah, and take 50 cent coin if you want to use the safety box in your room (no code option available).

Nice, but cut down on the e-mails and use large mattrasses please.

Pros: Free parking. Nice bar. Spacious room with coffee machine. Easy to reach from highway. Friendly staff.

Cons: Although I had done online check-in and was supposed to be able to 'quickly pick up the room key', I think the whole process took just as long as a regular check-in. Van der Valk sends a lot of promotional 'upgrade' e-mails before the arrival date, some of which are even duplicated. Breakfast at about 20 euro is relatively expensive. Although I had booked a room with a single big bed, the bed had two separate mattresses, which was annoying.

Pros: Due to the late arrival of our ferry we were unable to use all the hotel’s facilities, however a large comfortable room awaited us. Hotel easy to get to and provided an excellent breakfast.

Cons: No place especially designed for luggage
