I was a perfect stay , the breakfast was delicious and excellent.

Pros: It was impressive. It was a nice and open space. It started to snow in the night, this was an extra bonus , an we slept in room 105 , this was the same room where Paulus Johannesburg the second slept when he was in the Netherlands, isn’t that amazing

Interesting stay in a lovely place with attentive staff.

Pros: Very interesting place, great to see young people being trained. Staffel were genuinely interested in guests and took time to understand their requirements.

Cons: Restaurant menu was a set meal, and whilst it the food was enjoyable (and informatively served by the young people), it probably wasn’t food we would have ordered, given the choice.

Japanese Knot Weed

Pros: The architecture and spaciousnes. The lecture staff in the restaurant were excellent. The food was excellent.

Cons: We noticed a large clump of Japenese Knot Weed in the grounds outside our room 125. It was surprising that no control measures appeared to be happening. I am sure it is realised that JKW is incredibly invasive, difficult to eradicate and is notifiable as an invasive species. It causes huge damage and affects value and saleability.

Scenic stay in a former monastery, very relaxing and staff were lovely.

Pros: What a fabulous setting for a hotel and so nice to see the young people in training for a career in hospitality. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere with excellent food (can recommend the steak tartare). Felt more like a holiday than a business trip.

Cons: We had a missing hot water supply for one night. No specific reasons explained.

Beautiful stay, will be back!

Pros: The property is absolutely beautiful, such a peaceful location and great when traveling with a car as easy parking. It was my birthday and the staff really went the extra mile to make it special. Super friendly and helpful staff, breakfast included and lovely room with a balcony!

Cons: Only downside was no AC however they do provide a fan in the rooms!
