Long John's Pub & Hotel

Pros: The team were super friendly, I felt safe by myself. The hotel is near a great square and historic church.

Cons: The power cut at 10pm, I was in bed reading and needed to get dressed to sort the problem out. The lights in the shower were dull.

The staff were lovely, the room comfortable and clean and location great!

Good value, very pleasant and helpful staff

Pros: It’s location, we have family in Amersfoort and have visited this venue as a pub on many occasions. First time we have used it as a hotel and we weren’t disappointed.

Cons: The television was not easy to use as it needed streaming services which we couldn’t be bothered to try and attach. Would have been nice to just channel surf but didn’t seem possible

A nice night away

Pros: It is the second time in this hotel and we like that the rooms are above the pub but it is still quiet. Good breakfast

Cons: There were little details this time that were not ok. Like soap not loaded in the dispenser in the room and the alcohol to clean the shared bathroom was missing.

A Really Nice Stay In An Excellent Location

Pros: Great location and above a really lively bar with a great atmosphere. The bike storage was secure but outdoors. So rain was a concern for the e-bikes with the battery compartments open to the elements.

Cons: The room was cold and the CH wasn’t on. We didn’t mention it as we were there only one night, but it was pretty cool.

Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful! The Pub itself is very cute and comfy.

Clean and comfy!

Pros: This hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful! The shared bathroom was immaculate, so clean! The housekeeping are very thorough and do a great job 😊 the beds are VERY comfy, super soft mattresses. The earplugs were a lovely touch (and welcome break from the church bells outside haha) the area itself is gorgeous and I’d recommend staying here.

Cons: To echo other reviews, if you have mobility issues please be mindful there are steps!

Fantastic location on the square, plenty of restaurants outside of door. Friendly staff.

Pros: The location was great with lots of restaurants outside the door. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a big bathtub and was spacious. We stayed in room number one downstairs which had a private courtyard. It was very quiet and I would highly recommend to book this room if noise bothers you.

Cons: Nothing to not like about this hotel however if you have a lot of luggage, it’s a bit difficult getting suitcases up and down stairs as there is no lift. Pretty much everywhere is the same in Netherlands.

Pros: Personal super friendly, located in the very heart of the city

Cons: It can get a bit noisy when people return to their room late at night

A very good option

Pros: Well situated in the fantastic Old Town. Very good breakfast and a very good shower.

Cons: Slightly odd to have an en suite shower, rather than a toilet. Walking upstairs, particularly during the night when trying to not possibly disturb other guests to use one was unusual I felt. Renovation had obviously taken place though as you had to pass through an old shower stall to get to some rooms.
