Quirky hotel

Pros: Quirky hotel. Excellent breakfadt. Fantastic location. Would stay here again.

Cons: We had a room in the roof and it was very hot. Had to have the window open, which was a velux window, and meant that when it rained, we either had to put up with raindrops or swelter. Also had twin beds, which were not very wide.

Nice hotel in superb location

Pros: Great location, easy parking. The hotel itself is very quirky(former prison) but it’s been converted sympathetically to retain many original features. Rooms not big but comfy. Nice breakfast.

Cons: Local tourist tax not as described by booking.com….much more expensive

The hotel was in a beautiful location, close to everything and quiet.

A pleasant overnight stay.

Pros: Nice location, town is an attractive old town, hotel was an interesting old prison.

Cons: Parking and entrance to hotel were difficult to find.

Watch out for spiders!

Pros: Really enjoyed the waterline view also there’s a lift. The room was clean, no smells, fresh bed linen. I also thought breakfast was very good.

Cons: However, I think there could have been more toiletries (so far spotted only liquid soap and shower gel). I also think the hotel staff could pay more attention to the fact that there are quite a few spiders in the rooms (5 in my room) so they could look out for spider webs better.

Unique experience in converted gaol.

Pros: Unique conversion from a prison, well facilitated, friendly staff and well located. Free parking provided for guests. Museum and cinema in same building. Breakfast included in tariff.
