Great place to stay in Amsterdam

Pros: Good location. Close to metro, tram, shops and restaurants. Room is small but cozy. Super nice staff.

Cons: Little toilet, but that is not a huge inconveniance.

Pros: Been going to this family run hotel for 20 years. It's always clean and welcoming. Close to Artis Zoo, and the botanical gardens, it's a quiet area at night.

Good value hotel in a decent location

Pros: The room was a good size and clean, the staff were really friendly and helpful. They were happy to look after luggage when we arrived before check in was available, although it was kept behind a sofa so not a secure location. However it was in the same room as the reception desk so I was happy to leave my luggage there and take any valuables with me. The location is good, a few minutes walk from a metro station and a tram stop. Overall it was good value for money and I'd definitely stay there again.

Cons: Only issue is that the bathroom was quite small with the door very close to the toilet but it was manageable.

It was excellent and relaxing, like a home from home.

Pros: I loved my room in the eaves of the hotel and it was good exercise going up and down three sets of stairs from the ground floor to it. The location was excellent surrounded by greenery and in the east of the city. It was easy to walk around the city. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Cons: It is a small point but some of the towells had holes in them.

Fantastic stay

Pros: It s a traditional dutch house, it was very clean, quiet in a great location.

Cons: Nothing really, just the doors are a bit loud.

Perfect stay for a great price!

Pros: The location was perfect, a 10-20 minute walk from everything we wanted to do in Amsterdam. Bed was very comfy, rooms were clean and tidy. Lovely people at reception (you have to pay for drinks but we were given some free tea!) and the cleaners were also very nice, had an overall amazing experience for the price we paid. Before we went, we saw some reviews saying the walls were thin and you can hear other people staying on your floor constantly from your room, but I think this problem has been fixed as we had people on our floor and it was really quiet and we couldn’t hear any door slamming etc. We booked a double room with a shower and the bathroom was simple but worked great for us!

Cons: The stairs are quite narrow and steep and there is no lift but we were made aware of this prior to coming and it didn’t bother us. We were on the first floor and my partner could carry our luggage up fine but just something to keep in mind if travelling with lots of luggage. Also to mirror other reviews the shared toilets are quite small but again it really didn’t bother us as it wasn’t cramped and it’s only a toilet!

Pros: I would definitely go back here! They are amazing, cheap and in city center! 100% recommendations!
