Sotel Amsterdam Central Station

An amazing stay for my birthday trip away!

Pros: Very clean room, modern bathroom, welcoming staff and very good location! My partner and I visited Amsterdam for a quick city break for my birthday and the hotel was the perfect fit for us as we were out all day exploring the city. Amazing location- 5 minute walk from the canal tours, lots of local shops and food options varying in price. The staff went above and beyond leaving balloons, drinks, snacks and a lovely note to help us celebrate my birthday that little bit more so thank you very much! I wondered being so close to the trams, train station that we'd hear a lot of street noise but with there being double windows we didn't hear a thing. Bed was very very comfortable.

Cons: The shower hose leaked a little bit- but didn't bother us or the use of the shower.

Lovely stay and attentive staff

Pros: I stayed here in January with family for my daughters birthday. Great location. Rooms a little dated but overall a great stay and we would stay here again. Staff were lovely and attentive and they left some goodies in my daughters room for her birthday. All staff wished her a Happy Birthday which was really nice! Thank you for a lovely stay

Pros: We stayed in the comfort city view room! Was so cosy and bigger than I thought! Very clean and staff were very friendly! Beds were also so comfy big soft fluffy pillows which was a bonus too! 5 minute walk from the train station to the hotel, has everything around you.

Biff

Pros: Room was excellent. I shared with my son & Daughter-in-law. Plenty space. Comfiest bed ever (i had the single) with the best sleep. Facilities excellent, brought a load of toiletries that were supplied by Hotel. Great hairdryer. Hotel perfectly placed & accessible. Helpful pleasant staff.

Cons: Only issue i had were stairs into room, I have knee issues & occasionally use a stick. To be fair I had contacted Hotel prior to going & was advised about stairs, however, they were in a spiral & had no handle on first part of wall, so this was part of the problem. I didn't voice to staff once there?!

Perfect location

Pros: The location is great, close to transport, restaurants and attractions. Perfect for a weekend break. Had a lift which is very rare in Amsterdam.

Pros: We stayed at Sotel hotel Amsterdam for 3 nights and we was both pleased with everything. We could leave our bags at reception and go and have a look around area once checked in and out at end of stay Obviously people has got different views so don't be put off by reviews, but we found the room clean,hot shower,bed comfortable and quiet on our floor everything we needed was in room for our stay after all the walking we did I don't think we heard anything! The location was only five mins walk from central station and all major attactions, shops and bars we found the the staff was very helpful in giving us information very welcoming There was free tea facilities downstairs and lift. You wanted something to eat there was plenty nearby to find your needs, the area was busy but always staff to help Our stay was great for our travels and would be be happy to stay here again.Recommend this little hotel to visit the Dam.

Cons: Always check room as stairs were difficult but had a lift Would like a full mirror but that not issue
