Very enjoyable stay in a great location.

Pros: This was our first stay at this hotel. We stayed two nights. Every aspect of our stay was excellent from car parking to check into the room itself and the check out. We only dined in the bar in the evening and the food here was good quality well prepared food. Service in the bar was excellent. Service at breakfast was very good. All the staff we met were pleasant and professional. The concierge was great. Breakfast was good quality with a range of hot and cold options from the buffet or small selection of freshly cooked items from a menu. The hotel itself has an interesting history and the location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the old town and the Dom. we did not use the spa or gym but they seemed to be nice hotel style facilities. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind, this is an excellent hotel.

Cold Christmas in Utrecht

Pros: Location: on walking distance from the historical centre - Dom tower, Vredenburg quarter.

Cons: The freezing cold weather - but luckily it was sunny, and there is always an eatery somewhere where you can have a real Dutch jenever, and snacks.

Pros: Very classy, beautifully presented. Welcoming staff who love Utrecht and the hotel. Fantastic location, easily able to walk from the train station and into the dom.

Nice environment, very good rooms, good breakfast.

Pros: The rooms are very spacious and have good beds. Silent at night. Lovely decor and environment. Access to room is easy and good parking facilities.

Cons: Finding the hotel is difficult at first and beware of the many bicycles passing the road (and they ride fast in NL). The thing i didnt like is that the power outlet next to the bed switches off when general lights are switched off. So if you want to charge your iphone, iwatch or other, you have to find another outlet.

Cons: Gates were randomly locked on some evenings, but not others- had to actually call a member of staff to come from reception to let me in. Also wanted 50Euros for an hour late checkout
