Pros: Exception location, next to st Bavo, Teylers, numerous excellent restaurants and De Uiver cafe. Spacious room with real bathroom instead of shower next to the bed as seems to be the hip thing to have..

Cons: Breakfast was expensive and not worth the money. Items were not refilled (meats, eggs, sweets) after 10:30.

A very pleasant 2 nights in a nice hotel

Pros: It’s a very pleasant hotel close to the main square, restaurants, bars and all the attractions. The room was very pleasant. The was very comfortable and it had a very effective mini bar for cooling your drinks in.

Cons: I thought the breakfast was a little expensive considering it was rather limited. No baked beans, which I like, and the fresh fruit was limited to pineapple only. Also I prefer mini jars of jam to the preserves which are available. But the atmosphere was very calm and pleasant.

Fabulous location, comfy rooms and great front of house team.

Pros: The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were very comfortable with quality linen.

Cons: The breakfast manageress was quite rude and grumpy - we arrived 5 mins before breakfast closing to grab a quick breakfast and were refused entry. She told us there wasn’t enough food but we could clearly see trays with eggs, bacon, fruit etc all sufficiently full. Luckily there is a great coffee shop around the corner looking over the canals that serves an incredible breakfast at a fraction of the cost, so she actually did us a favour in the end.
