Novotel Amsterdam City

Very good

Pros: The hotel is clean and comfortable, offering a pleasant and relaxing stay. It is located in a great area, close to all types of public transportation, making it easy for guests to get around and explore the city.

Pros: The staff were fabulous, i liked my stay alot and felt very safe, had the help i needed.

Pros: I loved everything about this hotel. Lots of space, clean, comfortable, great gym, great breakfast, lovely staff… Coffee & tea in the room. Comfy beds and bedding. Great shower. Even the restaurant (which has a low rating on google) was excellent for dinner in my opinion. Easy access everywhere (center & schipol) thanks to the tram/train/metro station in 5 mins walking distance.

Cons: Nothing. Maybe only the toilet paper holder in the room wc could be changed for a better design :) The roll keeps falling down :) But of course, this is a non issue.

My stay was very comfotable.

Pros: Easy access to transport, tram, trains and metro. Place is clean, bed very comfortable.

Cons: Breakfast a bit pricey.

Well maintained and functional hotel that is rather peripheral for a tourist.

Pros: Good sized, well-maintained room with comfortable bed. Walking shower in small but well-equipped bathroom. Very efficient lift system which was necessary in such a multi-storied, large, hotel. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Large reception area that included an independently run cafeteria with a good range of good quality products. Taxis available when needed. Buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room was generous though not especially imaginative. We ate dinner once following a late arrival. Again a well organised restaurant with willing and cheerful staff. Again the food was decent but limited in range.

Cons: Location is sterile or at least it was in a very cold spell that we faced. It’s a 25 minute tram journey into the heart of the city though there are four trams an hour and the terminus is only a five minute walk away. The Metro station is also close and a more rapid way of accessing certain central areas. Some tourist destinations are walkable but still between one and two miles away, some of which isn’t the most appealing to the pedestrian.

Hotel very nice situated close to public means (tram, metro) to go to the city center.

Pros: Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast not too crowded and big assortment. Enough chargers for the car.

Cons: The servant at the hotel bar/snack corner, she was not knowing the products/plates served. We asked for a chicken sandwich and we got a vegan chicken sandwich.

Pros: The facilities, the staff, the services, the location... basically, everything!

Comfy and quiet

Pros: Hotel was very clean, rooms was beautiful and bed was very comfy

Cons: Housekeeping knock the door far more then any other hotel I have ever stayed in. The first day they knocked 3 times within 45 minutes even after we asked them to come back later. We had then booked and paid for late check out of 3pm and at 12:30 they were knocking the door again asking if we were leaving. Housekeeping were the worst part of the stay

Clean, comfortable stay

Pros: Very clean, spacious room, quiet, good location 5-10 minutes from two metro stations and tram and some good food options nearby for brunch and dinner. 30 mins from Centraal Station. 24hour cafe/shop was a really nice to have as well as gift shop with essential items. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Cons: I'm not sure if just our room but the air in the room was very dry, to the point where jt irritated my throat. Turned off the aircon but didn't seem to make a difference.

Good stay overall

Pros: Big hotel, staff was lovely especially after I had flight cancellations. Rooms were clean. Good breakfast also.
