Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - South by IHG

Brilliant hotel, excellent position and great staff. Especially Jose on reception.

Very good stay for one night in Amsterdam - Highway is a few minutes away (easy to reach)

Pros: We had a very good stay! Staff was extremly friendly! Parking is public close to the hotel.

Extremely comfortable stay and able to enjoy a cracking weekend in Amsterdam.

Pros: Very modern, clean and a great location really close to tram stop - so easy access to the City centre.

Cons: We loved everything Just maybe add more food at the training station like salad that won't come into contact with the pork and meat there

We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel location was perfect right beside public transport shopping etc

Pros: One of the best service experiences at a Holiday Inn Express. We have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express hotels before, but the Amsterdam branch truly stood out. Special mention to Victor at the reception, who did an excellent job and made our stay even better. The rest of the staff were also professional and helpful. Great location, and the breakfast was good.

Cons: maybe more hot food at breakfast buffet

Pros: Considering weekend in AMS, i opted this property. A bit far from the central, to get a better price. But still it was heavy on pockets. Hotel is in quiet, residence vicinity. With Tram stop just 4-5 mins walking distance. Couple of supermarkets and restaurants near by. To reach central, tram needs to be changed 5 or 25 and then 12 or M52 to Damsquare or Central. it takes about 30-40 mins. Hotel room is old fashioned, though amenities were complete. I requested for house keeping the first day but it wasn't done. Though they gave me fresh towels when requested at reception. Hotel reception staff is good. Speaks good English. Had black coffee in their bar/restaurant at night which was on the house. Overall a good stay and would recommend, if no time constraints. Taxi from airport to Hotel Euro 52 and Taxi from Hotel to Central station Euro 60.

Cons: House keeping. Paying 100+ euro for a night stay. I would expect room to be clean when i am back to hotel. Though the cleaning card was hanged at the door early morning. Small hotel with no smoking policy. Due to extreme weather in AMS, hotel had problem with their central heating unit.

Pros: The staff at the reception, Alexandria was very helpful and me us feel happy to be there.

Cons: The corridor leading to the room had a damp smell
