Residence Inn by Marriott Amsterdam Houthavens

A short bus ride from central station, but definitely worth it for the peaceful surroundings and gorgeous dockside views

Pros: lovely room, the corner queen room easily accommodated our family of four, nice spa too. A ten minute walk to the local floating Vietnamese restaurant for dinner, which was fantastic.

Really liked the place it was enjoyable

Cons: Location wasn’t ideal. But 15 mins bus from central station is not bad (plus 5 mins walk)

We felt as we are at home. Very coisy.

Pros: Hi , we had a really great time in Marriot Amsterdam. The room is so confortable . Alexcandra, Rocio, Silvia, Alejandra ( in breakfast )are so kind to us. They are doing their best. Thanks altı.

Lovely place to stay.

Pros: Room was excellent, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well decorated and maintained with excellent quality towels, soap, shampoo etc. Very comfortable bed. Lovely view. Kitchen was very well equipped and very good quality items. Location was very good with an excellent bus service into the city, only a 7 minute ride. Breakfast was excellent in a lovely setting with lovely views. All areas very clean & well maintained. Excellent choice of good quality food, well laid out and nice staff. Staff throughtout the hotel were friendly, professional and helpful. Liked the whole atmosphere & ambience of the hotel.

Cons: Maybe a little more choice of food on the menu. We ate twice in the restaurant & whilst the food was nice, I felt the menu was limited. One female member of staff behind the bar was not as pro active as I would have liked. I stood at the bar waiting to order a drink & although it was quiet & I was behind her, she was engrossed in looking down & doing something at the till & I had to call out to her. The same thing happened a second time in the same evening & the same lady was actually standing at the till on her mobile phone. I had to call her again and whilst she apologised & was polite, I would have liked her to be more aware of whether people were waiting at the bar.

Pros: The room (corner suite) was big, the view to the harbor- amazing, the bed and pillows super comfortable. Overall the room had everything required for a traveller. The breakfast was good with a nicw choice of healthy products.

Cons: The building is shared by 2 hotels, and it is a bit confusing. The other hotel has a better cafe and lounge zones, which you can still use. The pool is very small and the area around it seems not very clean (not pleasant to stay there) Location is rather far from the center, we chose it deliberately, but beware that you will need to use public transport to get to the center. Basically our expectations were set higher because of the word \

Room with a view!

Pros: What a fabulous room. The view was amazing. We had everything we needed and more. Staff were great. Very convenient bus service nearby straight to bus/train station. Couldn't fault anything.

Pros: Very spacious and clean 👌, loved the quiet location & proximity to regular bus services 😀

Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff, easy to get to town with bus or taxi and access to the free ferry for certain locations

Cons: Not many restaurants and coffee shops in the area however going into town was easy

Highly recommended.

Pros: Clean and nice, big and spatious room. Friendly staff, free-to-use coffee maker at the 9th floor.

Cons: Breakfast was always the same, maybe to change it a bit. Everything else was very nice.
