Lovely stay with great friendly staff and excellent location

Pros: The location was perfect, short free ferry ride and you’re right in the centre. The hotel and rooms were lovely. Great value

Cons: Nothing.

The hotel is exceptional for a stay in Amsterdam, but to be avoided in winter due to the cold

Pros: We chose this accommodation for a Christmas night in Amsterdam. We liked the hotel itself, it is very beautiful, it looks luxurious. The lady at the reception waited for us with warm cookies and we received a very nice greeting card, the gesture itself was very nice. We liked this hotel because it had parking. It is located quite far from the center or the Christmas markets, but we took Uber and it was fine. The room has all the facilities, it is comfortable and we slept well.

Cons: The part we didn't like about the hotel is the fact that it was very cold. After a day walking around in the cold outside we would have liked to have heat in the room. No matter how you set the heat in the room it didn't work because the air conditioning didn't produce that much heat for the whole room, it was also noisy at night and you couldn't turn it off otherwise when you woke up it would have been very cold. I found a heater in the closet so I used that one. But unfortunately it was still cold..

Good location and would stay again.

Pros: Nice n clean. Staff friendly. Good location for the IJ Hallen Flea market which is always a good monthly market. Nice free chocolate cookies, thanks. Shame about the silly touch sensitive light switches in the bedroom that you can’t workout what turns on what light around the room and glows blue all night but such is the need for silly tech in hotels these days but just normal switches would suffice! Nice walk in shower and pressure also. Thanks.

Cons: Light switches.

Comfortable and convenient location

Pros: Room was really nice. Great location as you are about two minutes walk to the free boat that runs to Amsterdam Centraal, these run all day, they take around ten minutes and there are night boats if you are coming back late.

Cons: The view from the top floor is obscured by some kind of mesh over the windows, I have no idea why this is the case but it was disappointing as we had requested a high floor in the hope of having a nice view. The shower is also poorly designed and flooded the bathroom every time it was used.

NOT YOUR STEREOTYPICAL DESIGN AND SUPRISINGLY GOOD

Pros: Very unusual design with glass walls looking out onto the waterfront on two sides. Restaurant for dinner was expensive but worth the money, superb dinner. Breakfast expensive but good choice and quality. Free parking, a bonus for Amsterdam

Cons: Little room for improvement, everything was very good.

Fantastic stay as always, clean and tidy rooms in a quiet yet handy location

Pros: We have stayed here before so knew of the high standard of this hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy, a good size for Amsterdam hotels (which are typically small), in a handy location with a ferry port right outside, which allowed an easy 15 minute ferry to central station.

Cons: The only con I could note is that we could hear the next door neighbours, granted they were fairly loud, but may have expected the rooms to be slightly more sound-proofed. Very minor issue for us, though, as we spent most of our time out of the hotel

Good Stay but Ferry Timing Is a Hassle

Pros: The stay was good. The rooms were small but clean, and the reception team was very helpful. The cookies they offered were delicious! The property is in a good location, but if you’re arriving by train, it can be a bit difficult as you need to take a ferry to the other side. The main issue is that the ferry operates only until 11:30 PM, so traveling after that becomes inconvenient.

Cons: The main issue is that the ferry operates only until 11:30 PM, so traveling after that becomes inconvenient.
