City Trip Hostels Amsterdam-Zaandam

Pros: The hostel is very comfortable, clean, and well organized. I loved that at reception they also speak Italian and Spanish, in addition to English and Dutch. The entire staff is very kind and always available to help and answer any questions. One of them, Tomás, helped me on my first day when my locker accidentally got stuck. He provided excellent service. The view in front of the hostel is spectacular. They also have board games, which I found very fun. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers, as well as a shared kitchen, which is very convenient. In summary, I recommend it 100% and the price is very good.

Excellent

Pros: I liked the privacy of our bed cubicles in the dorm and the facilities. Location good and close to Amsterdam central. Hamish at reception was very helpful.

Cons: Nothing to report.

Great value for the money

Pros: Very close to the Zandaam station with good connections to Amsterdam. Cheap, clean, and the beds actually give you privacy. The lobby has comfortable seats and power sockets

Cons: You have to put on and take off your bedsheets, but that's to be expected for this price

Pros: I really liked the beds and the room was very good. Slept so well

Cons: I think the bathrooms could be cleaned more often, Lots of times the sink was very dirty

Pros: The hostel is walkable from Zandaam station. You will pass many restaurants and shops along the way. They provide digital room keys, so you'll need a phone with an internet connection to get in your room. Bed is comfortable, although I had to put on the covers myself. Staff are friendly.

Cons: Towels are not provided for free. No power outlet on the bedside aside for USB. The USB outlet doesn't charge fast

Great staff and nice pod

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice that they have a curtain for each bed, when close it’s really dark and can prevent sound and light even if someone is outside

Overall was great experience

Pros: It’s very clean and has a really cool concept that makes it comfortable, offering privacy since it’s not completely open. It’s designed like a capsule with curtains, includes a locker, and feels quite spacious.

Cons: However, it was quite noisy, as people were constantly coming and going. The shower area could also be improved in terms of hygiene perhaps by providing sandals or creating better space to place belongings while showering, since the floor was very wet and humid from the hot water everyone was using.

Pros: All the staff were friendly, Coco , Patric , Alfiy and the manager

Pros: Everyone was really respectful of others and keeping noise levels down in the room. The pods were really cosy and private. Plenty of showers and toilets, which was really nice!

Loved it would go again

Pros: A goods nice sleep, black out curtains in your own separate pod

Cons: Towels run low, coffee machine gave me watery soup 😂
