Hostel Utopia

Great location and clean

Pros: The location was great, it was a budget room so I wasn't expecting any luxury (neither was there any provided) It was all clean and well kept, plus the shower worked great. I recommend for anyone wanting a short stay

Cons: The beds weren't the most comfortable, I didn't like having to share a toilet/shower with 3 other rooms either however it was never an issue during my stay

Excellent little venue

Pros: Friendly staff easy to find rooms clean building quiet

Cons: We were aware before hand but the stairs are very very steep and Curvy nor for anyone with disabilities

Pros: Goid size room with windows & private bathroom, really goid value fir money!

Cons: Bedding & towels were clean but need replacing as they were very worn.

Comfortable and perfectly located

Pros: The room was small but it had everything we needed. It was a perfect location, 10 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal and 5 minutes to Dam square. The coffee shop below was amazing and not too loud.

Cons: We had a 25kg suitcase with us, and to put it into storage we had to go down a VERY steep set of stairs and then back up them again. It was very awkward to manoeuvre. I was prepared to carry it up the staircase of the hostel but didn’t expect the extra workout of putting it into storage until our flight.

Most memorable stay in Zanzibar

Pros: By far the best place i've stayed in nugwi! I feel this place uncoils you from the moment you walk in. This place is a must. The staff were exceptional and attened all my needa even the ones i didnt know of, like having a breakfast even when i just asked for a coffee, (Must have the breakfast) The location is just perfect few minutes walk to the markets and only a few steps to the beach. Thank you for such a memorable stay, im sure it wont be the last time.

Very pleasant stay, convenient for my needs.

Pros: Old house transformed to rooms, facing a main street. Very close to Amsterdam station.

Cons: Having to check in and out of my stay at another hostel up the road. Slight uncertainty knowing what would happen if there was a fire/flood/disruption without there being any staff there.

Exactly what I needed for a budget stay, helpful staff.

Pros: Convenient for rail station, budget accommodation. I booked a small single room, a kind of slopey-ceiling loft room with a comfortable bed and sink. Shared shower/toilet.

Cons: Getting what you pay for, I feel this was accurately represented. The shower and toilet is a kind of wet room set up and maybe to reduce water left on floor for other users a device (mop or squidgee) to push water away from toilet space would be an idea. I think I was lucky with other quiet guests but the walls are thin and at 3am it was unavoidable that u can hear people coming up narrow stairs.

Pros: Great location in the heart of Amsterdam with easy access to public transport and attractions

Pros: Everything was fine. The girl that works there Ainara was super nice

Cons: Rooms are on the smaller side, but you get what you pay for, no complaints from us
