Quiet, comfortable, clean stay within easy walk of town centre.

Pros: Great location - just a short walk to the main town centre. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Bed was nice and comfortable. Patrick went out of his way to make sure all guests were looked after with plenty of breakfast choices.

Cons: Nothing to raise - it was a great experience.

A peaceful location just off the hustle and bustle of touristy Volendam

Pros: This was one of our stops on a cycling tour . The premises were perfect; lovely room, comfy bed, lots of space in the communal area which had full kitchen facilities for preparing meals and a courtyard area for relaxing in. The location was a 15 minute walk from town, which was heaving with tourists during the day, but peaceful in the evening. There are no cafes or bars close by and the nearest supermarket and fast food shops a 10 - 15 minute walk away. The breakfasts were prepared by our hosts beforehand, so no set times for getting up. We would certainly recommend staying here.

Pros: Very nice accommodation. Clean and pleasant homely environment. Everything works as it should. Good breakfast. The host is very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back again. Volendam is a beautiful town. PS.: We were very pleased when our breakfast was described in Czech.

An ideal place to stay with excellent transport links

Pros: A very comfortable room and a delicious and generous breakfast that we could enjoy at our leisure. It was a lovely 15 minute stroll into Volendam and a short walk to the bus stop for Amsterdam. Patrick was the perfect host - he gave us lots of useful info and restaurant recommendations and an interesting tour of his recording studio and then left us to enjoy our stay.

Cons: There was nothing not to like!

Wonderful Stay

Pros: Patrick is a wonderful host and greeted the 6 of us to explain everything required during our 3 night stay. All 3 bedrooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Unique place to stay with a recording studio underneath which Patrick showed us. The accommodation has a lovely open plan kitchen - lounge/dining area. Breakfast is set for you each morning and you can have it at your own leisure. Eggs Bread Cakes Yoghurt Juice and various meats included. Location is about 10-15 min leisurely walk to Volendam. You can get a ferry return from Volendam to a beautiful little town - Markem island. Overall we all had a great time.

Exceptional choice. A really personalized gem for staying.

Pros: Loved the hospitality of Patrick, the openness and the freedom offered with the self prepared breakfast (you can eat whenever you like from the former night to the next noon), as well as the coziness of the living room which we exploited at evenings. The room was super clean and really comfortable for rest.

Cons: It is not a fault of the property or the owner, but the location is not that suitable for Amsterdam tactical commutes with car, since the distance is around 30' of driving in country road mainly. Also the parking is super expensive in Amsterdam. You can of course move with the bus and metro, a choice that scared us due to the distance and scarcity of availability after midnight.
