Comfortable modern apartment in superb location for Leiden centre

Pros: We last stayed at 'T Singeltje in November 2023. The apartment has been refurbished since then. All the appliances and furniture are of good quality and in good condition. The apartment is very well-equipped with everything you could need. (There is now a microwave!) Additional decor touches (since our previous stay) have made the apartment more attractive and home-like. The location is excellent. We could walk to everything in the city centre, and had our bicycles with us to reach attractions further afield in the area.

Cons: There is no lighting in the kitchen area itself. An overhead light is sited over the dining room table but it is quite dim. The result is that food prep and cooking has to be done in near darkness (not a huge difficulty in August but not ideal during the winter) and the lighting is too dim to be able to read at the dining room table. On the other hand, the overhead light in the bedroom is extremely bright - which feels jarring. We would suggest swapping the lighting between bedroom and dining room, and then adding appropriate lights in the kitchen.

Great apartment in a great location.

Pros: The apartment is on the ground floor not far from the central train station. It is across from the beautiful Mill Museum and walking distance from anything you could want. The host was responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment.

Cons: I would not change anything really.

Perfect apartment for a longer stay.

Pros: An excellent location — just a few minutes’ walk from the railway station, yet in a quiet neighborhood right on the canal bank. Surprisingly peaceful at night. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was well furnished with everything needed for a longer stay.

Cons: A small detail that could be improved: all the shelves and hangers are open; a closed wardrobe would be nice.

A nice apartment close to the centre of Leiden and very convenient for the Centraal Station.

Pleasant and convenient stay in attractive town within easy reach of Amsterdam by train.

Pros: Great location, near the train station, at the end of a terrace of older style houses. Quiet at night. Comfortable beds. Everything functioning as it should (hot water, shower, wifi, tv). Lock box to access keys, so late arrival time not a problem. Outside space with table and chairs.

Cons: The sofa-bed is ok for few nights or for kids.

Pros: Perfect location of the apartment close to Leiden central station and the city center. The apartment was clean, cosy and provided everything we needed. Moreover, the communication with the owner was extraordinary, she was very helpful and reacted promptly any time.
