Eye Hotel

Great city, cozier and less crowded than Amsterdam. Little traffic within the city means little noise and less pollution

Pros: Nice design, very friendly and helpful staff, tasty breakfast, clean rooms.

Cons: No complaints

Pros: Such a beautiful place! Design is outstanding, location is great, staff was very helpful. A handwritten note was waiting for upon arrival. Breakfast is beautifully served

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's very cozy, clean, comfortable, and stylish. A big plus is the tea and coffee facilities in the room, and also you can enjoy tea and coffee in the lounge area throughout the day. The staff is very helpful. The hotel's location is also very convenient, right in the city center and in 12-minutes walk from the central train station.

A hidden gem in the middle of the old city center

Pros: - wifi was free, but I didn't use it - there was an outside sitting area (with an ashtray!) - nice shower (rain- and hand shower) - nice toiletries (brand Istanbul) - room located at the ground floor and very quiet - fruit water at the reception - pillows + cushions - beds (separate beds pushed together) as a double bed was too narrow (140 cm) - lightning, several lamps and a small night lamp at the entrance to the bathroom/toilet for better orientation - two electric sockets at the bed - staff communicated well upfront to our visit - central location in the old part of the city

I found the Eye Hotel a perfectly good place to stay in the town centre for a short visit.

Pros: Great central location, decent size room for a short stay, comfortable bed, hot shower, satisfying breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff.

Cons: The room I stayed in had a connecting door (locked) with the room next door, which was unexpected. Not a huge issue, but it did mean being woken up by the neighbours’ noises when they got back after a late night out. There’s no central heating, it’s a convection fan in the ceiling, but even if it was a bit chilly at night (it was November), the duvets are good.

A toddler and parent stay

Pros: the two staff in the evening were very helpful. note, be very specific with requests just as double bed, upstairs rooms, as exactly wanted then I am sure they will meet the requirements.

Cons: one of the ground floor room opened to a path

It was a perfect home away from home.

Pros: We dearly miss your wonderful cozy and quiet hotel: the friendly young reception staff, the perfectly furnished and creatively decorated rooms (with attention to detail, memorizing the Eye Hospital the hotel used to be) and the gorgeous breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, salmon ... .

Cozy and comfortable

Pros: Beautiful hotel, with curated details. Ideally located nearby the university yet very quiet. High quality bed and decoration. The personnel is very professional and friendly. Everything was easy and smooth. I will be back!

Pros: Loved everything about the Eye Hotel , the location is perfect , right at the heart of Utrecht and very easy to get to .

Lovely hotel (not a huge chain) with amazing staff and large comfortable family room.

Pros: A fabulous family room and amazing staff. The hotel is a former eye hospital and there are some interesting touches as a reminder. Conveniently situated in a quiet street in the centre of Utrecht, perfect for the city centre and a short walk from the station. But mainly, the family room was large, very clean and comfortable. the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. the breakfast was delicious. It was great value for what it was and in comparison with others we looked at. we would stay again and would highly recommend.

Cons: Difficult to think of anything. Perhaps a little more fruit at breakfast would have been good. A second chair in the room would have been nice for relaxing rather than having to lie on the bed.
