City Hotel Amsterdam

Good for a short stay. Perfect if you are taveling by train

Pros: The Hotel is in a great location, perfect if you are travelling to the Central Station. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was nice.

Cons: The Wi-Fi wasn't great and, honestly, quite slow. The breakfast was OK. The quality was fine, but the level of selection was not great.

Lovely weekend away, will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Pros: How central it was, but also very quiet location. Very clean , staff were always happy to help when we asked questions. You are literally about 5 min walk from red light and other main areas. We had breakfast included but only ate the last day , because we got up late but from what we seen had various foods hot drinks and juices.

Excellant stay

Pros: Great location, very close to the centre. friendly staff. Bed was really comfy too and room was clean. I had emailed ahead and also asked for a room where we didn’t have to go up a lot of stairs as our daughter was with us and had a pram and they sorted that too.

Pros: Location is superb just 10 min walk away from the central train station. You can pretty much explore the city by walking or take the public transport. Also there is a bus station right in front of the hotel, which you can use if you want to visit Volendam and etc. Check in/out process was very smooth. The whole staff especially the reception were extremely nice and helpful. Considering the previous comments, I was skeptical about the breakfast but it was okay in my opinion. Overall, considering the location and other benefits it was a nice stay and I might stay again in the future.

Cons: Since I booked a single room I knew that my room was gonna be small and I was okay with that. However, I think the bed in my room should have replaced with a new one because I could feel the bed strings while I was sleeping. Besides that, sometimes cold could get in my room through the window. It might be a bit overpriced for a single room and breakfast but considering the location and last minute availability it is tolerable. Other than these I cant think of any negative aspects. It is a nice hotel.

A great stay and value for money

Pros: Neat and clean and it is walkable from the centraal

Very good. I was really happy with my stay and thank the hotel staff too.

Pros: My room was at the top of the hotel and though compact, was thoughtfully designed with comfortable bedding. Breakfast was included and was very good. Location is excellent - less than 10 mins walk to the centre. The staff were kind and friendly. It is clear that a lot of work goes into the running of this hotel and I would come back.

Cons: There's not a lot I didn't like! For its price and given that accommodation in Amsterdam is expensive, this was good. If the shower could have been a little warmer, that would have been even better still! (it wasn't cold, but warm). This is a minor point though.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet. Perfect for the location also! Staff was so friendly and helped us in every way possible, allowed us to store our suitcases after check out so we didnt need to drag them around the city for 5 hours! Highly recommend, we will be back! Thank you very much😊

Excellent stay

Pros: The staff were great. The room clean and tidy, bathroom small but good shower, towels changed every day and bed made. Secure room for luggage. Breakfast had good choice.

Cons: Very good for 3 star property can’t fault it.
