Pros: The staff were all very kind and eager to help. The room is beautifully decorated with retro-style posters and warm yellow lighting. My absolute favorite part, though, was that big window!

Cons: None.

Perfect for us

Pros: This hotel was perfect for us. We just loved the location, the nearby shops, coffee bars, restaurants, the sights, everything. Everything was clean and comfortable. The man who checked us in and out (wish we'd asked him his name) was a delight.

Great value for money in the centre.

Pros: Very central. The room had everything needed was very quiet, it was clean; the bed was extremely comfortable; the staff was friendly and helpful. They brought up my luggage and brought it down because it was two flights up. It was a 15-minute walk from the station. Very convenient and perfect for what I need.

Cons: Lighting in the bathroom, not ideal to put on your make-up, but hotels rarely get that right.

Location 10/10, food in the restaurant was so good I can’t put it into words. Staff were so friendly.

Pros: Great location snd very comfortable, we ate in the restaurant and it was the best pasta we have ever had, genuinely 10/10 food

Cons: No tv in the room but you don’t spend enough time in the room to let it be a problem.

We loved our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Pros: We would absolutely stay at hotel calisto again. The room was lovely, clean and the staff were so friendly. The location is my favourite in Amsterdam and we found it very comfortable and good value for money!

Cons: The only downside is that the room was very small and there wasn’t a great deal of space to leave our things/ hang our clothes. But it is clearly stated that it is a small room so this was to be expected.

An excellent stay in the Jordaan District.

Pros: The room was lovely and in a really quiet part of town with hardly any traffic noise. The hotel is very clean and warm and there are friendly, helpful staff in the restaurant downstairs. Highly recommended.

Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Pros: Location, atmosphere and attention to details! Lovely place.

Cons: We only got hot water from the tap and there was no heating in the bathroom.

Cosy apartment with a good location.

Pros: Location in excellent. They have a partnership with a coffee shop with provides a nice mug of coffee and some pastry. Steps to the bedroom are steep but it wasn´t a problem for us. They don't have a front rececption for checking-in so we spent some time trying to locate the hotel (go to the restaurant at the corner).

Cons: It took some time to figure out how the shower works and how to prevent water getting out the bathroom.

Pros: Stayed 1 night midweek in November. Room on second floor overlooking main street. Good location; not noisy at night; clean. No breakfast available but voucher for cafe opposite is a nice touch (check opening hours).

Cons: Be aware of narrow steep stairs up as in many locations in Amsterdam. No lift. I did not have any issue as I was travelling with small trolley case and I do not have mobility issues.

Amazing stay and our new favourite!

Pros: It’s a great small hotel in a very bubbly area. Roy was great upon our arrival and made us feel very welcome. We also got a lovely upgrade and made our stay even better! The room was great. Also to mention that the bed is a 10/10. I’ve never slept so well in a hotel. We come out to Amsterdam for a night on a regular basis and this is definitely our new go to hotel!
