Amsterdam Downtown Hotel Canal View

Pros: The hotel is very close of the town and everything. The personal was very nice, smiling and very sympathetic. I find myself good with the other customers and we had a good conversation, a French girl was there to so that was a very good experience. See you soon Amsterdam,

Cons: Just the toilets and the shower was so dirty I don't use it but that's okay I was there just for a night and a day. And the room need a fresh breeze and a little clean when there is many people already inside.

Affordable, comfortable place in a great location

Pros: Had a quiet room even though it was mixed hostel beds. All roommates were quiet. Hostel has a lot of stuff for sale if you need it, deodorant, snacks, etc. Cleaned well everyday. Location was really great too, near the tram and the area was pretty. Very close to Rijksmuseum.

Cons: The smoking room was unpleasant. You could hear people in the other rooms. The shower floor gets flooded so it's easy to drop clothes or towels into.

Nice place

Pros: I liked this hostel. It's in a narrow house overlooking the canal. Small but well designed. There is a reception on the first floor up one flight of steps - they are narrow and steep but quite short. By the reception are a few tables and a microwave, fridge and kettle. Next door is a slightly larger room for smoking cannabis and chilling, with a view over the canal. Staff were helpful and nice and the place was well furnished and very clean.

Cons: It's a cheap hostel in the centre of Amsterdam, so not suitable for everyone

Great value for Amsterdam centre

Pros: Very comfy bed, great location and fairly well sound proofed despite being in the centre.

Cons: It's a very tight place, which is classic Dutch building structure. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing for me, but well worth noting for everyone coming to Amsterdam/Netherlands for the first time.

Pros: Great location, Nice and helpful staff. Good atmosphere!

Conveniently located, friendly staff

Pros: I enjoyed the hostel, it was conveniently located in between the museums and downtown. Staff were friendly.

Cons: Entrance to the hostel stank a bit.

Pros: It was ok for one night, but only one female room, felt bit stuffy and the beds are very unstable.

Perfect for a short stay in Amsterdam

Pros: Pretty much everything. Location is top, room and communal area clean, my bed was comfy. For the price you can’t expect any better. Special thank you to the lovely chap at reception. Adorable, respectful and helpful.

Cons: The only thing is the kitchen which opens at 9am at the same time than reception. If you want to leave early and either access the fridge or the kettle/microwave you can’t or if you need to check out before 9am, am not sure how you get your deposit back. Other than that, there’s really nothing to complain about.

Cheerful service

Pros: I stayed 4nights including two days extention bcoz its good service and good location for me. Especially, staffs, Jessica was always cheerful voice & attitude and Kohels' service was very active; when there's trouble in coin coffee vending mershine then he made a his direct handmade coffee for me, so nice.. and make me feel thankful.. hey staffs, see you again.

Pros: Staff is super kind. Location and view are amazing. I was alone but had 7 beds all for myself :D
