Pleasant stay with exceptional hospitality

Pros: Great location, just a short walk from everything. The hosts are very kind and helpful and will make you feel welcome. The room was large, comfortable, clean, and many things were provided including own plates and cutlery, kettle, tea and coffee. Overall great experience for a few days in Utrecht.

Comfortable with priceless Dutch vibes

Pros: Perfect location: only a few minutes walk from the inner city, in a calm area of Utrecht. It is a classic old Dutch house, its vibe took my heart instantly. The view is amazing, from my window I could see the Dom, a canal and a mill. I couldn’t wish for more. I also loved that I finally found an accommodation that offers rooms for one person, (I usually have to pay more - most of the accommodations have double beds) because I mostly travel alone. The price was totally decent here. The hosts are sooo lovely and caring. They asked me several times that if everything went well, and they told me that I can contact them, or knock on their door if something is not clear for me. They offered that I can use their spices if I cooked, they prepared a bunch of teas and coffee in my room, gave me an extra blanket. On the second day they left a paper on my floor: “we hope your first night was pleasant”. All in all, I spent amazing 3 nights in the house, I’m so grateful for that!

Cons: I didn’t have any problems

Pros: The space is quite large compared with the price. The view is nice.

Cons: I suggest putting more tissue/paper in the room. You may need to consider improve the facilities as I find the heating is sometimes automatically turned off, the WiFi is disconnected two nights. Blocking transparent glass on the door can greatly improve the privacy of resident.

Peaceful

Pros: Above all it was the location. The house is beautiful and the room overlooked the canal. The owners were friendly and obliging. Noise wasn't an issue. It's a quiet area and it is very close to the city centre. I suggest hiring a bike for your stay - there is a special railing where you can tie up your bike outside the house, which I did for the week. The bike was my key mode of transport.

Pros: Ideal location because it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the center and away from the hustle and bustle. The accommodation has all the necessary comforts. Frank and Marinel are very kind and helpful, and they make you feel warmly welcomed.

Too good to be true

Pros: Very authentic and unique place. The area and view are simply timeless and stand out comparing to commercial hotel rooms : )

Pros: Convenient location, spacious room with pleasant view on the canal, comfortable bed. The owners are very kind, welcoming and supportive! It’s also great value for money and nice option to experience living in a Dutch house.

Cons: Common rooms could be cleaner. Stairs are indeed tricky but after few days you get used to it.

Pros: Perfect location, about 15 minutes from the central station. Very nice and attentive hosts, I enjoyed staying here very much. Everything just as advertised. I can only recommend them, I have no complaints.

Pros: Superb value, a friendly welcome, basic but efficient in a good location for exploring Utrecht.

Cons: Small areas not as clean as I would like: around the hinges of the toilet seat and the extractor fan in the kitchen both needed attention
