Patrick's Place

Wonderfully central, yet still private and quiet.

Pros: Could not be more in the centre of things, and yet it was so quiet and comfortable. Such a wonderful place to stay to be near the sights, the food the bars, and still be able to come back to peace and quiet. Truly wonderful.

Cons: It is a canal house, which I love, but for the unfamiliar that means narrow stairs and a small bathroom. It was what I expected, and was absolutely fine to use, but others may have a problem.

Would definitely stay again

Pros: The location was nice, lots to do around the property/area. We found the instructions easy to follow. The bathroom was also very clean. Room was very spacious.

Cons: The key to the front door is difficult to open because the lock itself turns instead of the key, it was a bit narrow to haul the luggage through and up the stairs, the bathroom being upstairs was uncomfortable since I was unwell!

This was a perfect location for us to explore central Amsterdam on foot.

Pros: I loved staying in a canal house as it felt like authentic Amsterdam. Everything that we wanted to see and do was within walking distance from the property. Patrick was very helpful with lots of tips on where to eat and drink and it really enhanced the experience. Sharing a bathroom was not a problem even with it being one floor up from our room, plus it was immaculately clean. Would definitely recommend Patricks Place to friends and family.

Pros: Nice room, perfect lokation, great host. Patrick is a super nice and friendly person who is taking care of his guests. I can definitely recommend this place.

Loved it

Pros: There is no breakfast. The location was perfect and everything was within walking distance. The room was quiet and conveniently located behiond securely locked doors.

Cons: We did get a little lost finding the place even though Patrick had given very clear written instruction.

Pros: The location is great. It’s really quiet even it’s near red light area.

Cons: Some towels have a little stain on it. The coffee machine is a bit faulty(The amounts of coffee produced by the two different settings are the same.)

The stay at Patrick‘s Place exceeded our expectations and we would totally recommend staying here!

Pros: We liked Patricks Place a lot! The room was nice and the shared toilet always clean and absolutely sufficient. We liked most, that Patrick answered all our questions about Amsterdam and where to go/what to visit with great patience and he offered very nice options. Thank you, Patrick, for the opporunity to stay at your place!

Cons: There really was nothing we didn‘t like about our stay. Just maybe the weather in February wasn‘t as good as it would be in summer, but we totally expected that :)

Pros: Nice price, good location in the center, and the owner is a nice dutch guy, perfect for me..

Pros: The host was very attentive and proactively contacted me to make sure everything was ok when I did not check in on time.
