Huis met de krul

Pros: Our 3 night stay at Huis met de krul was so perfect :-) The apartment is situated in a residence area and it was quiet and relaxing compared to the hustling and bustling in Amsterdam City. The inhouse facilities are fantastic - beautiful interior designs, comfortable beds (1 double + 2 single beds), very nice bathroom facilities and a nice kitchen area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Nearby (10 min walk) is The Harbour with cafés, restaurants and a super market. Our hosts, Cees and Cathalijne were so friendly and helpful - we really appreciate the effort they put into making us feel welcome - especially the warm, personal greeting, the detailed informations about the apartment and the area as well as snacks and refreshments upon arrival :-) Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we will definitely be back :-)

Pros: We loved the fact it was out away from the city, 20 mins on the tram was perfect , very easy to get in and out of city.

Cons: The only thing was the area is a new development, alot of building work going on, which wasn't a problem(we were told once it was booked ) but we felt we could have been told how to navigate the area, a lot of roads were blocked off, took us a while to figure out how to walk where we needed to get to. Once the development is complete i think it will be a beautiful spot.

Ideal for a quiet stay in Amsterdam.

Pros: We were welcomed to this modern apartment by our host and found it clean, comfortable and well furnished. It is in a very quiet area well away from the busy city. There are two good supermarkets about 15 mins walk away. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There are some DVDs and a DVD player alongside the TV which only has local channels. The tram services are excellent and are 15 - 20 mins walk away from the flat. There is a huge beach and attractive harbour within 10 -15 mins walk. There are a selection of bars and restaurants at the harbour. There is a sunny balcony(afternoon) on the back of the flat, with table and chairs, which overlooks a large garden area/car park/other flats. This is accessed from both bedrooms . There is building work going on at the front of the house but it is no problem.

Cons: This flat might not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there is quite a walk from the tram and two flights of concrete stairs up to the flat. I would be a bit concerned about young children staying here ( excited / running around), as the stairs open right into the middle of the flat with no door or safety gate and we did have a trip hazard, on the top step, pointed out to us. Each bedroom would benefit from a mirror and a choice of softer pillows. The second bedroom has no hanging space - just shelves in the cupboard. A slip mat in the shower would be good for safety. The kitchen worktop and cupboards are higher than usual but a small stepladder is provided !

Perfect place for family of 3. Great location, well equipped & clean unit.

Pros: Fabulously appointed apartment, very comfortable with two outdoor deck spaces. Good access to public transport connections, quiet neighborhood, definitely recommend :-)

Pros: Really friendly hosts, very quiet and peaceful location outside of Amsterdam city centre. Very spacious, clean and modern apartment. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

Pros: With an amazing view over the water we enjoyed coffee from the espresso machine and made real Dutch breakfast in the small but well equipped kitchen. The apartment is within 30 minutes of Amsterdam Central Station, yet the experience over here is a totally different one. The neighborhood is in the process of establishing, you may encounter some dead end streets, random piles of sand, and architectural candy around every corner. The friendly and welcoming owners have been super helpful and you will enjoy the place as if it's yours.

Cons: The neighborhood is super fresh, a bar or local supermarket next to your apartment have not arrived yet. You can find plenty of all those things in a 10 minute walk. And the city center is well within easy reach.

Excellent stay at a good quiet location for cycleseeing

Pros: Easy to find due to the striking appearance. Cathalijne and Cees, the landlords, were always very quick to help. The flat itself is very nice and situated in a quiet area. We rented bikes so it was also very easy to then cycle to the east or cycle to city centre.

Cons: The local area is currently under construction but that's out of the landlords control. It meant that it takes longer to reach the city centre where most tourist attractions are by tram although we used bikes so didn't face this as an issue. The local bike shop is closed on Sundays so we had to rent bikes from the centre.

Pros: The property was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was well equipped, beds cosy and very quiet. A 15 minute walk to the tram takes you in to Amsterdam Central. Some great restaurants near by. Owners provided a great overview of things to do, food and shopping in the area. Would stay again
