Still as charming as when we visited in 2012

Pros: The recently installed lift is a great addition to this olde-worlde hotel. Room itself was light, airy & spacious, & the firm mattress one of the most comfortable I've slept on in a hotel. The breakfast was fully self-service with an impressive range of options, all very fresh. Only a couple of minutes' walk from Het Boegbeeld cafe/tavern where we had flammkuchen, mead & local beer on two nights.

Cons: Toilet is small, so awkward to use with the door fully closed - not a problem for us, but might be for less relaxed guests. It would have been helpful to know more about the parking arrangements in advance to save us a long walk initially: I recommend asking the hotel about this before you travel, as it's actually very practical & convenient.

Cons: Access slightly awkward as I have Mobility issues but staff helped.

It’s a charming, little, relaxed place to enjoy a few quiet days at the beach

Pros: It’s right next to the beach. The breakfast was really nice for good value of money. There are many restaurants, bars and shops in waking distance.

Cons: The bathroom was quite small and ventilation needs an upgrade

Nice and pleasant

Pros: The location was great Wijk Aan Zee is a lovely little village by the sea. The property had the Same vide and the areas. The breakfast was great and good value for money too.

Cons: The two single beds together kept slipping maybe a clip to keep them together would be needed but other than that it was good.

Charming hotel for couples for short and long trips.

Pros: This privately owned hotel is small and charming. The owners are very kind and mindful. It's nicely located directly behind the dunes. Therefore well protected against the wind but close to the fantastic wide and long beach. Parking places directly beside the hotel is provided. Our room was small but big enough and beautifully decorated. We rarely experienced better beds in any hotel. The room is good for couples. The bathroom is modern and comfortable. Since it is open to the room it might be annoying for some people. Nice sitting options in the small lobby and outdoors. Great choice if you don't like anonymous hotel chains.

Cons: The toilet could have been a bit bigger.

Ferry Stop

Pros: The hotel is a lovely old building with lots of caricature. Very close to the restaurants and beach. Breakfast was plentiful and constantly replenished.

Cons: Only minor issue was that the lift was broken.
