Bastion Hotel Schiphol Hoofddorp

Pros: The staff were fabulous and very friendly. They told us about local places we could easily walk to which was nice. The restaurant meals were really tasty and good value. Having an onsite bar was nice too. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were really good and clean. The free shuttle bus to Schipol was very handy. We had to continually extend our stay due to weather issues and the staff were really accommodating and made sure we didn't have to change rooms.

Cons: Nothing, no complaints at all.

Pros: warm rooms in a small snow storm hitting Amsterdam

Cons: Can't really complain it was a rush time

Staff are super friendly and kind and helpful. The ladies in the reception are stars

Pros: Beds are comfortable and warm - I travelled in winter

Cons: Carpets and curtains were abit smelly. They could do a wash.

Excellent choice would go back there

Pros: Excellent staff, great location (if your destination is the airport) , decent room size. Receptionist insisted to take their shuttle and not to spend money on the taxi. They took me to the airport outside of the normal shuttle schedule.

Cons: The barhroom faucet was disconnected, the pillows weren't the best either.. Basic room but was ok for 1 night.

Amazing and would be more then happy to return

Pros: The breakfast was very good, with many options to choose from. The room was quiet and clean. The hotel is located a bit further out, but it’s very easy and quick to get to the center of Amsterdam by public transport. The staff were kind and helpful.

Handy location especially for plane spotters. Not the fanciest of hotels, decent enough, too pricey.

Pros: Location was near the Polderbaan, which was my criteria when looking for a hotel. Grocery stores, restaurants etc within walking distance. The room was of decent size, nice and bright, very good thick curtains to make the room dark in the summery nights too.

Cons: The connecting bus travel wasn't direct, which isn't a problem, but caused needless confusion at the pit stop. The gentleman at the check-in didn't crack a single smile, and was very short in his communication, didn't make me feel exactly welcome. The bed was an adventure, as the top mattress tended to slide off the bed. Someone had left a smelly shirt on the floor under the long curtain, maybe a bit more attention to cleaning the room.

Overall blown away by the staff and the hotel facilities, really enjoyed my stay and slept very good unlike other hotels

Pros: Room was tidy and bright which is a huge plus because it feels welcoming

Cons: Very small sinks, someone with big hands as I would struggle washing their hands. Some of the guests were too loud (after 1am) no staff to tell them off

Lovely trip to Keukenhof, accommodation for one night excellent

Pros: We loved the Service with the bus Shuttle, enjoyed fully our stay and the breakfast was more than excellent. Thank you for the Service and for a warm welcome ať the reception. Just brilliant hotel for a short visit.
