Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam

Relaxed the minute we got in the door, very well run an exceptional staff and facilities.

Pros: The staff were out of this world. They were unbelievably friendly and helpful and spoiled is rotten!

Great stay, rooms a little dated

Pros: The staff at this hotel had a perfect balance between professionalism and informality. The staff welcomed us to the hotel with kindness and warm familiarity.

Cons: Our room was not as clean as we would expect and it felt slightly dated in parts

Pros: The breakfast was amazing, the staff was super helpful with literally anything we asked. Guys in the front was super friendly and always greeted us. Long story short - see you again.

Pros: wonderful service, fantastic location and ambience

Cons: Rooms could do with a freshening up. It was fine, but other Sofitels have nicer decor

Pros: Our second stay here and, as before, the quality and comfort of the room was excellent. Although we had a couple of problems, the hotel couldn’t have been more helpful in sorting us out. The location of the hotel is excellent.

Cons: We thought we had booked a specific room (the same one we stayed in before) but were put in another room which wasn't as good. However, the hotel managed to move us to our preferred room after a couple of nights. In addition, there were problems with the room's air conditioning (during some particularly hot weather). The hotel supplied us with portable air con units which helped.

Pros: I really appreciated the hotel’s excellent facilities and the breakfast service. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and it was great that you could request specific items, which were promptly served. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay.

Pros: very good location. the staff was very helpful and friendly. the room was very comfortable and clean.

Cons: the food at room service wasn't good. the breakfast was good but not same good every day

Enjoyed our stay overall

Pros: The location was fantastic. The beds are incredibly comfortable. Loved the cosmetic soaps supplied - diptyque. The front desk staff are very helpful.

Cons: The rooms are quite small with little cupboard space. Don't turn down your beds and refresh towels in the evenings.

Truly “The Legend” in Amsterdam

Pros: Excellent service in an excellent hotel! No complaint at all. Loved the indoor pool and sauna during the cold winter. Very attentive staff at the marvelous breakfast buffet able to remember my preferences better than me.

Excelent as usual.

Pros: Everything was good, that is why this is our only choice when traveling to Amsterdam, which we do often... until we woke up without hot water the last day of our stay. Problems happen and I believe the hotel compensated fairly gor the problem. Hopefully they give good maintenance to their equipment to avoid these awful situations.
