Apple Tree Cottage - charming home at beautiful canal in our idyllic garden

A wonderful place!

Pros: Apple tree Cottage is so cute and in a great location to discover Gouda. Marleen and Jos were so friendly and helpful and great hosts.

I can recommend staying in this cottage.

Pros: Location, along a canal near in the old centre of Gouda and also near the train and bus station.an opportunity to spend some time in a characterful cottage in a lovely garden that can be used by the guests. A very comfortable bed, tasteful decoration.

Cons: There was a bit of a drain smell in the shower room, but not in the rest of the cottage.

Pros: This is one of the warmest and coziest places we've ever stayed at! Everything was just perfect — from the host’s heartfelt hospitality to every corner of this charming home. The atmosphere is truly special: a feeling of peace, comfort, and care surrounds you from the very first moment. The location is ideal — right in the heart of Gouda, with a magical garden that’s a joy to spend time in. The town itself is full of character and truly reflects the spirit of the Netherlands — and this place is just perfect to enjoy it fully. Staying here feels like being at home. We left with warmth in our hearts and already know we’d love to come back. A huge thank you to the host for such a wonderful experience!

Pros: The cottage is super nice, in the center of the town near restaurants, the supermarket and everything you might need. The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful.

Pros: Just as advertised, Apple Tree Cottage is a lovely little home in a gorgeous location. We had everything we needed for a great stay. Jos & Marleen were friendly, welcoming and had lots of local knowledge to share too.

Pros: Apple Tree Cottage is idyllic. A period property, loving restored in a beautiful courtyard garden. The property has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. It’s a peaceful spot, with a canal to the front and, just a short walk into the centre, where you can find all the fabulous things Gouda has to offer. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to help with the loan of a child’s bike for our daughter to use. There if you need them, but not intrusive.

Cons: There was nothing we disliked!

Pros: Everything was wonderful. Jos & Marleen are excellent hosts and the cottage is in a gorgeous setting and a great location in Gouda! It is fitted with everything you'll need and more, especially if you plan to cook for yourselves. Definitely look no further for a cozy and relaxing stay in historic Gouda!
