Frank’s and Chong’s excellent location

Pros: The room was really value for money specially for those days of ADE festival. Mr Chong was extraordinary and kind with us. Hope to see you soon

Perfect location. Good value for Amsterdam if you’re not too fussy about luxury and steep stairs!!

Pros: The location is perfect, just outside of the main centre but easy walking to all the main areas. Tram stops close by too. Plenty of supermarkets close by. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was warm. The host was lovely and welcoming, even brought us some beers on the first night. Lovely to see wild parakeets in the tree from the back windows. We felt safe. Perfect for us.

Cons: The apartment is dated and could do with some redecoration. The bathroom has a nasty odour but probably because the building is older, no fault of the host. Kitchen could do with a refresh and few more utensils/some bowls.

Pros: I highly recommend staying at Frank & Chong's The room is very big and very clean. The kitchen is clean and has everything. There is always hot water in the shower. The room is located in a great area, within walking distance of all the attractions of the city. Mr. Chong is a very nice person, the stairs at the entrance are narrow and he helps lift the luggage. Always available to his guests. We would definitely love to come back again.

Well located and comfortable

Pros: Chong was a really great host - responsive, kind and accomodating. The property was really large, well located, and very quiet for Amsterdam. Shower pressure was good and the hot water was quick!

Cons: These are only minor concerns but still worth mentioning: 1) the stairs up to the accommodation are STEEP, narrow and long. I was only travelling with a backpack so it was fine for me but it would be very difficult to get a suitcase up there! 2) the bathroom is old and appears probably more dirty than it really is… a good deep clean would be a good idea; 3) the bedding needs replacing - the sheets are pilling and thus are quite scratchy on the skin.

Nice and short stay at franks place

Pros: Frank was a really sweet house owner, super warm, and really forward to help in anything we need. No complaints at all, the room was huge, with really good natural light and really quiet, even though it was really good located near the city center. If ever in Amsterdam again, i'll love to stay here again!

It was really comfortable and the hosts are really flexible with checkin and also let me leave my luggage after checkout

Perfect Location and very cozy and beautiful place

Pros: Attention Please!! I was positively surprised by this accommodation. Mr. Chong is very respectful and caring, he was completely available to help us and was very attentive in helping us get from the airport directly to the hotel (the best option is the bus that leaves directly from the airport and stops on the street above). The location is excellent, perfect, it's outside the center and away from the hustle and bustle, but it's very close to the center - within 3 minutes walking you reach the canals, and in up to 40 minutes walking you can cross to the Red Light District. 8 minutes walk to the Rijkmuseum anda Van Gogh Museum. The accommodation is very cozy, it's a typically European building, with a staircase that's intimidating at first, but later becomes fun to climb up and down, the bed is good, the room is beautiful... you can trust this place. Would come back again!

Cons: My only reservation is that the bathroom had a very peculiar musty smell, which becomes more noticeable with the shower steam, but nothing that a combination of cleaning products and a good monthly cleaning behind the shower box wouldn't solve. This wasn't really a problem at any point, but I'm just mentioning it to show that the room was so perfect that this minor detail is the only negative point I could find.

Pros: The host is very kind and always available. The room is larger than others in Amsterdam! Cool.

Great location and private room

Pros: Great private room, spacious and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and kitchen facilities were good. The host was lovely, let us check in early and check out late. The location is perfect, too. I’d definitely book again, the value for money is amazing

Cons: Bathroom smelled a bit musty, but that could just be the storm water drain outside, I’m not sure. It also would’ve been nice to have some water on arrival, but no big issue. Just beware this property isn’t disability friendly - the stairs are extremely steep, and there are lots of them

I had a brilliant time

Pros: The accomodation was exactly what it claimed to be, and the host was brilliant

Cons: I didn’t like that I spent so little time In Amsterdam
