Great Apartment Amsterdam

We loved staying here and look forward to going back!

Pros: Excellent apartment with all the amenities you could need. Clean, great space in a fantastic location Trini was the perfect host, attentive but not intrusive.

Cons: The hotplate/hob is hidden in a drawer - a sign saying where it was would have been great ;)

Pros: Trini is amazing we really enjoyed the apartment and location

The perfect place for a visit to Amsterdam

Pros: Exactly as pictured, clean and well presented. Nice balcony overlooking the canal. Easy access to city centre and all attractions as tram stops 4 min walk away from apartment. Area pleasant with lots of bars, coffee shops and bakeries. Very quiet at night.

Cons: Renters need to be aware that as this is a traditional (tall) canal house and therefore access to the apartment is by 2 flights of very steep stairs with narrow treads. ( a total of 32 steps) and therefore is not suitable for anyone with slight mobility issues. Carrying luggage up and down could also be an issue if you have more than hand luggage. The entrance hall/stair well was unkept with old post and lots of leaves I assume from Autumn when we stayed in the Spring. This made for a poor first impression which could be resolved in 10mins.

Great apartment in Amsterdam

Pros: The location was great, not too complicated to get to from both airport or city center. It has several buses and trams close by. Communication with owner was easy and fast, the apartment has all amenities necessary, room is quiet and comfortable.

Cons: Not fault of the owner because all apartments in Amsterdam are like this, but be aware that there are extremely steep stairs which make it difficult if you have heavy luggage like I did. If someone sleeps on the sofa, there is a bar a few meters away from the window which can be a bit loud; but it is only an issue in summer as with windows closed, you do not hear anything.

Great option for your Amsterdam stay

Pros: Oud West is a lovely neighbourhood and the apartment is pretty well located with everything you need in the area - restaurants, transports and shops at your doorstep. The actual apartment was a very decent size which was what we needed for a 4 night stay. Heaps of towels provided, really comfortable bed and couch too. The bathroom was renovated and had really nice shower.

Cons: It’s mentioned, but the stairs are really not super accessible especially if you have mobility issues or large suitcases so be mindful of this. It also got very hot at night and we’d have to have windows open on a few of the nights in order to sleep. Trini was away travelling but was very lovely and said she would have brought a fan if she was there. The thermostat is in locked box which was a little off putting at first but I think this is because it might just be heater not cooling. The windows open did cool the place down though!

Great value for money in a beautiful location

Pros: The location is excellent and the view from the balcony very pretty

Cons: Access was a little tricky with 2 very steep flights of stairs

Pros: A very quiet location and a great view, for us was perfect, near the center, with good transports. Very cozy, good indoor temperature, true to description. Of course, the host was a very nice, gentle and polite, five star person.

Pros: Great location, comfortable, well equipped. Enough windows for light and fresh air. Nice view. Perfect for a couple.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The apartment was lovely, great view and not a bad location for what we wanted.

Cons: A slight bit of miscommunication while getting the keys as the host was ill.

Pros: This is the second time we stay in the apartment in less than 12 months, and it starts feeling like “our home” in Amsterdam. Always super clean, having all amenities and things you need for your stay. The view is amazing, we couldn’t get enough of it. The host is very attentive and helpful, making us feeling welcomed once more!
