Lovely apartment, in the heart of Amsterdam

Pros: Absolutely beautiful apartment, clean, spacious and comfortable. Close to the city and amenities. Lovely touches with the fresh flowers and communications to replenish them after a couple of days.

Cons: Nothing not to like, minor issue for some might be the steep stairs, only something for awareness rather than any sort of issue.

Pros: Our experience was excellent. Frank is simply fantastic — incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help, which really made a difference during our stay. The place is beautiful, very comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. Everything felt welcoming and well cared for, making it easy to feel at home. The location is another major highlight: perfectly situated, with easy access to the main sights and great options nearby. And honestly, the space is even better in person than in the photos. We were very happy with our choice and would definitely stay here again.

A great stay in a beautiful apartment

Pros: Frank was a warm hospitable and attractive host. The apartment was clean comfortable tasteful and well located close to the museums central Amsterdam cafes and bars. The bed was comfortable and the service exceptional. Highly recommend

Next time we are visiting we are 100% going with this option again.

Pros: The place is amazing. Clean, very well designed , smells amazing. Cozy, and warm. Location is almost perfect, everything is close to you. Overall rating 10/10, perfect if you want to explore amsterdam and get back to your place with a snap of a finger.

A perfect weekend getaway in a gorgeous area of Amsterdam

Pros: Beautiful aparthotel room, lovely area really peaceful. Frank the host is brilliant; great communication & super helpful. Staying here made our trip extra special, all amenities and room was like brand new!

Lovely comfortable stay in a well equipped small apartment, convenient to everything. Great host.

Pros: Firstly Frank was very proactive and always communicating to us prior arrival and while we are staying at his property. The self contained apartment is about 25m square, a bit smaller to our liking but it is very comfortable and in a great location, close to teams, cafes and restaurants, VondelPark and other sights, all within walking distance. Apartment had a nice ensuite, washing machine and dryer all in one (I do look for washing facilities when travelling for weeks), small kitchenette (small hotplates, kettle, dishwasher, fridge, lots of kitchen utensils), clothes airer, ironing board. Frank offered to give the room a quick service every two days but we are not messy people and happy to skip that as only staying for four nights. Not sure what it is like as heating is controlled from his downstairs home. We like a cool room so was pleased we were able to open windows and a door to a small balcony overlooking the back garden.

Cons: I was not familiar with homes in Amsterdam and was surprised a week prior to leaving Melbourne, was made aware by my Dutch friend that Amsterdam has narrow and steep stairs. I have a sciatica leg and it wasn’t as easy for me but manageable. There is a handrail and Franks was obliging to take my big case up for me. I am mentioning this for the elderly who is not able to tackle stairs.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Vondel 99. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Frank was helpful, friendly and responsive. We will definitely stay again when we come back to visit Amsterdam.
