Pros: Location was brilliant with the free ferries back across to the station. The room was large, clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was excellent and very generous.

Great place to stay in Central Amsterdam!

Pros: Great location, very comfortable, quick and easy to get to the centre, whilst still being in a quiet area. Host Reinhart is so accommodating, helpful and friendly. We will be back.

A peaceful oasis just 15 away from the center

Pros: Excellent location, very peaceful and green, relaxing, and easy access to Amsterdam Centraal via a short free ferry ride. The bed is comfy, great baths at night and peaceful environment with ducks 🦆 all around. The owner is polite and the breakfast is consistent, delicious and varied.

Cons: Indeed, as others commented, it’s a shared space and I felt uncomfortable eating breakfast while the owner and his partner were giggling in their living room (separated through a thin curtain). I felt I was third wheeling them. It might have been easier if we had more interaction, but to me this dynamic was uncomfortable.

Our home away from home

Pros: We really loved the house overall, and Reinhart’s warmth in particular. The houseboat was our home away from home in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s perfectly connected to the old town — just a few blocks’ walk to the ferry that takes you back and forth for free in only 3 minutes to the Central Station. From de house, which floats on the canal, you can see the historic center and, every day, a couple of swans, some ducks and a heron come to say hello. The room is practical, tastefully decorated, and has everything you need to be comfortable. The bathroom is an absolute luxury at any time of day. In the morning, Reinhart prepares and serves a breakfast with a variety of delicious products that give you energy for the whole day. Reinhart is the best host you could ask for: attentive and supportive of our needs, yet discreet and never intrusive. We truly made a friend for life.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like. The only thing was not having more time to stay!

Fantastic accommodation in ideal location

Pros: Fantastic accommodation which in a quiet location yet near to city centre. A few minutes walk to free ferry to Amsterdam Central station and transport links. Host was welcoming and friendly and provided a superb breakfast. Would recommend highly.

Unique housing by a sympathetic host in the center of Amsterdam!

Pros: A unique housing for your vacation in Amsterdam. The host is super friendly and u feel just like at home. He shares his houseboot with u but there's enough privacy. The breakfast was really thoughtful too and of a high variety. The room had an additional small fridge. From the garden u have nice view in main-station direction! Just can take the ferry to Centraal Station and start exploring the city. Definitely worth the money!

Pros: The location is perfect – just a (free) ferry ride from the center, but in a very calm neighborhood. Reinhart is very nice and helpful, and the boat ride with him through the center is very recommendable. The breakfast was great and had more variety than we expected.

Pros: Reinheart is a really nice guy and we felt relaxed straight away!. The location of the houseboat is lovely and the free ferry over to central station is very close. Breakfast each morning was great and a good start to the day!. Thank you so much and we hope to be back one day soon!!

3 days of full enjoyment !

Pros: I loved the fact that it was near to everything. On the map it looks like it’s far but the ferry was a few mins walk to get to the city center. We didn’t use our car once anf we had the iamsterdam app for our stay. It allowed us to use public transport such as bus, tram or ferry for free. The place is cute and in a calm part of the city.
