Beautiful Amstel houseboat

Perfect Amsterdam base

Pros: - Great location. Quiet and secluded but less than a 15 minute cycle to most places we needed to get to. - Very clean. - Friendly and helpful host. - Cafés, restaurants and bike hire shop within a 10 minute walk.

Pros: Beautiful boat house everything you need & really comfy beds,great location great walks & bike paths the tram & the metro just a few minutes walk away. Local cafés was so good .the owner Marit could not been more helpful nothing was to much trouble.a great birthday weekend .

A wonderful short break in a wonderful city.

Pros: Beautiful and comfortable- a little home away from home. In a really nice quiet part of the city.

An oasis of calm in the city 🛥

Pros: Staying in the boat was so relaxing, in a very quiet area, super comfortable bed. The location is within walking distance of the RAI Convention centre and Amstel station, for the metro and national rail services. We really appreciated having a fridge, coffee machine, microwave, milk frother and kettle, along with coffee pods and tea bags! Also, the WiFi was very fast, and good to have a small table for finishing any work. The shower was very nice, surprisingly spacious too. Enough space to store suitcases under the bed, and two small areas for hanging clothes. The host, Marit, was lovely and we were even offered usage of one of her bikes to get around with. I'll definitely look at staying here the next time I'm in Amsterdam!

Cons: It would have been nice to have some shower gel available to use. There was hand soap and dish soap, but no soap to use in the shower.

A delightful base for an Amsterdam visit

Pros: A unique way to experience Amsterdam. Delightful host, warmly welcoming and always helpful. The decor and fittings were of very high quality. The riverbank location was mostly peaceful, although the river became livelier as the weather became hotter.

Cons: No problems with the accommodation, but if you're planning to visit the Anne Frank house check the official website at least 6 weeks ahead. Tickets sell fast.

Perfect in every sense.

Pros: Beautiful spot, quiet and tranquil location, easy access to metro and near by shops. The actual room is really lovely, perfect for my business trip. The host Marit was really lovely and helpful. Overall could not recommend this spot more highly.

The peacefulness of Marit’s home is restorative🤩

Pros: Renting a houseboat has been on my bucket list since I started visiting Amsterdam. When this beautiful and tastefully decorated houseboat was available for my stay I was ecstatic 🤩. Marit is warm, friendly and gracious host, who has the perfect balance between being available when you need her and giving you privacy and providing the space to “ pretend for while” that her home is your😊. Houseboat is immaculate, clean, tastefully decorated and the location is perfect 🤩. If/ when I am next in Amsterdam I crossing fingers that the dates work and I can rent it again.

Cons: The key can be tricky to work, but Marit was so patient giving me a short tutorial and i finally got the hang of it. Everything was perfection.

Friendly and comfy accommodation

Pros: Location is great, easy to get to from airport and nice area, garden is lovely, inside is perfect for a long weekend. Incredibly comfy bed, lovely shower, quiet and private.

Cons: No negatives.

Pros: את הקרבה לאגם, לחנויות במרכז המסחרי וגם לבית הכנסת. השירות שניתן היה מעל ומעבר. כל מה שהיינו צריכים קיבלנו מענה. היה מאד נוח לעשות check -in check-out. יש wifi וטלוויזיה.

Cons: שהיו מדרגות אבל בסוף הסתדרנו גם עם זה. הייתי כמובן שמחה שהיינו במפלס של הנהר עצמו. המטבח יחסית קטן.
