Beautiful penthouse near Rai and centre

Pros: Many windows, great view. Very well designed apartment and it's obvious that the owner invested in it.

Cons: 80 spiral stairs on the way to the apartment

Pros: A beautiful apartment in a great location away from the city centre, but with everything easily accessible by tram. Plenty of room. Great host.

A fabulous time!

Pros: The property was in a lovely location! Lovely restaurants and coffee shops just down the road. A quiet location which meant we could have restful nights, but we were also nice and close to town (just a 10-15 min walk!). The penthouse was very clean and had everthing we needed. Our host was also so helpful and responsive to anything we ask. Already discussing our plans here for next year!

Great roof apartment

Pros: Great roof apartment with large windows. The flat was clean, everything you need was available in the apartment. No centrally located, but good tram links to both the city centre and the airport. Many thanks to Iwan for his flexibility despite of our late arrival. He gave us a very cool tip about one of the best pubs in the area (Goos), and the information in the brochure was very helpful too.

Cons: The apartment is more suitable for two people than three. The staircase, typical of Amsterdam, is narrow and steep, no problem without bags, just difficult at the beginning and the end of the trip.

Lovely comfortable property in excellent location.

Pros: This is a really lovely property in an excellent location. Close to multiple public transport options and also walkable distance to many sights. Very friendly and helpful host. Apartment is comfortable, light and bright with lovely views over the city. Yes - the stairs are steep and narrow, but that is made very clear so don’t book it if you are not able to climb them.

Cons: Nothing. It was everything we needed.

Comfortable, easy and beautiful

Pros: It felt like home and was easy to travel to and from when exploring Amsterdam, it really made out holiday so much more amazing!

Pros: We had a nice stay at Iwans place. The location of the apartment is very comfortable - tram station at the doorstep (~15 minutes to the center) and in a nice, quiet neighborhood with small supermarkets and various restaurants in walking distance. The apartment itself is well equipped, spaceious and clean. We appreciated coming back to this \

Cons: Light in the bathroom didn't work but was substituted by a different lamp and repaired shortly after we left. Motion sensor for light in the hallway outside the apartment didn't work. No big thing:)

Great place to stay in Amsterdam

Pros: Beautiful apartment, very comfortable, with everything you need for a great stay in Amsterdam

Charming neighbourhood

Pros: The location was more than we hoped for. Local neighbourhood was charming with easy and quick access to shops and public transport. Only a few tram stops to the centre of Amsterdam and all places of interest. Evenings in the apartment were cosy and very quiet! A peaceful neighbourhood. Iwan and Abdo, our hosts,were on hand for all our queries and any house related issues. We were even offered late check out as incoming guests wouldn't be arriving till late. We didn't have to do this as other options were presented to us, but we appreciated the effort to accommodate us if possible. Would definitely ensure another reservation if retuning to Amsterdam.

Cons: The only downside were the flights of stairs to reach apartment on first day! But then again, we had 4 suitcases to bring up! Going down was easier.! But having said that, l wouldn't hesitate to rebook again and hopefully travel lighter! As it is a charming older building, there aren't lifts. But definitely well worth the climb!

Pros: The apartment was very confortable und clean. It ist very quiet und with a nice view. There ist nice cafes and restaurants near the place. The Museums are not far away.
