Beautiful, restful, historic apartment on the canal, in the heart of the old town

Pros: It’s an absolutely beautiful old house, in a perfect location. Interior is decorated in modern decor, very sympathetically attuned to the style of the building. The shower and the bath were both fantastic. On arrival, the owner greeted us with such a friendly smile and we immediately felt welcomed. All the people we spoke to who ran the hotel were just so kind and pleasant.

Cons: Nothing. We wanted to move in! Even the incredibly steep and narrow stairs were managed by my disabled mother (with a lot of help from us), as she was so keen to stay in the property.

Marvelous historic accommodation

Pros: Marvelous historic accommodation, centerly located and close to a free garded parking for bikes. The host was very kind to wait for us after the check-in time and to show us the apartment.

Super leuke speciale plek in Alkmaar.

Pros: Bijzonder pand met speciale historische sfeer en mooie ligging midden in Alkmaar. Heel gezellig ingericht met goede voorzieningen.

Cons: Om bijvoorbeeld goed te kunnen lezen was het wat te donker binnen.

Leuk, maar soms ook wat minder

Pros: De beleving van het verblijf in een oud pand midden in de historische binnenstad

Cons: Het enorme kabaal van schreeuwende mensen (kroeg-gangers ivm de kermis in de stad) en keiharde muziek aan de overkant wat tot 02.00 uur door ging op zaterdag avond tijdens een bootjestocht door de grachten.

Wer in Alkmaar mal urlaub, sollte hier übernachten und ein wenig Mittelalter schnuppern.

Pros: Wow, ein Haus mit einer 500 jährige Geschichte und wir durften hier wohnen und schlafen. Lässig renoviert, sicherheitstechnisch auf Stand (mit Sprinkler und BMA) und mit besonderen Flair!

Cons: Die Stufen (geschuldet dem Alter des Hauses) sind gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber das muss man akzeptieren, wenn man hier schläft.

Zentral gelegenes Haus in der wunderschönen Altstadt von Alkmaar

Pros: Historisches Haus mitten in der Altstadt. Einen Steinwurf vom Käsemarkt, umgeben von wunderschönen Giebelhäusern, engen Gassen und Restaurants.

Pros: Sehr außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit ganz viel Charme. Fast perfekte Balance aus urigem historischem Gebäude ergänzt durch stylische moderne Renovierungen und Mobiliar. Super Lage in der Altstadt. Man muss damit klarkommen, dass man in einer Touristenattraktion wohnt, für uns war das kein Problem. Einziges Manko: die Küchenausstattung ist recht spartanisch (Backofen, Mikrowelle und Toaster nicht vorhanden, Geschirr stylisch, aber z.T. wenig zweckmäßig. Z.B. nur kleine Gläser, keine Weingläser, wenig Kochwerkzeuge). Für Selbstversorger nur bedingt geeignet. Aber hinsichtlich des leiblichen Wohls kann man sich ja von LUTTIK versorgen lassen, wenn man es sich leisten kann oder will. Unterm Strich eine super Unterkunft. Wir würden wieder buchen (und uns auf die spartanische Küche besser einstellen).
