Character Cottage

Pros: The cottage is uniquely beautiful. Full of charm and character. Well equipped. Comfortable beds and lovely clean sheets and bedding. It's well placed for a short walk into town.

Cons: Steep open tread staircase was a challenge. If any of your party had mobility issues it could be a problem. Thankfully we were ok and just paid extra attention when going up or down. It didn't impact our stay

Pros: Exceptional property really well located in beautiful Edam. The house was spotless and very well stocked. A very comfortable bed and quiet neighbourhood guaranteed a great nights sleep. Ingrid and Jan were wonderful hosts

Cons: Nil!

Pros: Cottage très chaleureux à la décoration soignée. Accueil charmant d’Ingrid, l’hôte qui habite la maison mitoyenne.

Cons: La location se fait via Booking par l’intermédiaire de Belvilla. Cela peut surprendre car Belvilla nous demande des paiements (taxe de séjour et draps) en plus de Booking. Pas de crainte, tout est normal.

Pros: Excellent location, spacious, comfortable, friendly and helpful host, lots a amenities

Cons: Stairs to bedrooms was narrow and steep, this will be a potential challenge for older visitors especially with suitcases

Pros: De ligging midden in het centrum is een pluspunt. Echter een nog groter pluspunt is de compleetheid, de knusheid en de gezelligheid van het huis met als extraatje de heerlijke douche. De vriendelijke verhuurster en haar man maken het geheel helemaal af!

Pros: El alojamiento es incredible, cerca de Amsterdam, pero con la tranquilidad de un pueblo costero y pintoresco como Edam. Muchas gracias por los detalles a Ingrid y a su marido. Recomendamos este alojamiento al 100%.

Mooi sfeervol huis op goede lokatie.

Pros: het huis was overcompleet ingericht en volop aan voorzieningen.

Cons: geen tegenvallende dingen.

Pros: Ein kleines Schmuckstück im wundervollen Edam! Das ehemalige Fischerhaus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, komfortabel und super ausgestattet.

Cons: Alles gut.

Einfach toll für ein kuscheliges Wochenende

Pros: Supersüsses Haus absolut zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Mit wirklich allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und noch mehr (Gasgrill...). Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und das Willkommen war sehr herzlich! Die Heizung konnte entgegen einiger Kommentare hier individuell (sogar pro Heizkörper) geregelt werden, so dass wir es trotz feucht kaltem Wetter sehr kuschelig hatten. Edam als Stadt hat uns sehr positiv überrascht... absolut zauberhaft, alles vor Ort was man braucht und ziemlich flugs mit den Öffis nach Amsterdam.

Cons: Meckern auf hohem Niveau ;-) Der Kamin ist leider nur ein Elektrokamin (aber zugegebenermassen vom Aussehen täuschend echt sodass wir ihn trotz der ersten Enttäuschung für den Kuschelfaktor doch zu schätzen wussten. Wir hatten schon damit gerechnet, dass die Treppe steil ist, hatten sie uns aber dann doch nicht soooo steil vorgestellt. Für uns als Erwachsene dank der Zusatztoilette oben ok, mit Kindern oder für Ältere würden wir das aber eher nicht empfehlen.

Eine tolle Woche in schöner Umgebung

Pros: Das Häuschen war sehr liebevoll ausgestattet und wunderschön dekoriert. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht, und man fühlte sich wirklich willkommen. Die Lage des Häuschens perfekt und mitten im Ort, dennoch mit kostenlosem Parkplatz vor der Tür und ganz ruhig. Fahrradverleih nur 3 Min zu Fuß entfernt und Platz für Fahrräder mit Stromanschluss im Hof. Die Gastgeber waren wirklich sehr hilfreich und sehr nett. Für uns war es eine perfekte Woche. Vielen Dank!
