La Casita bed and breakfast

Perfect, shame we weren't staying for longer!!

Pros: Staff extremely friendly, location beautiful. Room was lovely, particularly bathroom, but all was excellent. Stayed as a family of 3 (16 year old also) We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Cozy atmosphere. Convient to have food right under the b&b. Nice window on the roof for natural light. Easy to park, free of charge 18:00-8:00. Mind, Friday morning there’s a flea market.

Cons: Pillows.

Lovely B and B in Central Voorschoten

Pros: La Casita B and B is centrally located in Voorschoten. As well as having their own restaurant, there are lots of other pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. We had breakfast there - a good selection of cheeses, meats and yoghurts with fresh fruit and freshly baked rolls. Our ensuite room was clean and comfortable with beautiful photos of Valencia on the walls. There is a fridge in the room. La Casita is within the blue badge zone for Voorschoten - giving free parking for a short period, but one cannot park outside all day. There is free parking about 3 minutes walk from La Casita. One can usually stop near La Casita to drop off luggage (though not on Fridays, when there is a market on Voorstraat) and can often park on Voorstraat in the evening. We would be happy to stay here again.

Cons: One minor point: the twin beds cannot be pushed together as a fixed table is between the beds.

Great tay

Pros: Lovely room. Tea/ coffee in room. Air conditioning. Working TV. Very friendly staff. Delicious evening meal. Dressing gown in room. Free parking.

Cons: Private bathroom outside of room. No sink in room. Steep stairs to room.

Fabulous will be going back there to stay again

Pros: Location was great and the food (tapas especially) was lovely. Staff so friendly. Average prices for the area. Overall very good

Cons: Room could have been slightly better equipped (plates, knives, bottle opener) we only had one chair for 3 of us, would have been better to have a bigger room for 3 adults but it was comfy enough.

Pros: Amazing location, wonderful staff, very large room. Breakfast was sublime with a large variety of choices and exceptional service! This was the highlight of our trip!

Quiet and comfortable in a quaint location

Pros: It’s in a perfect location for where I was working, it’s lovely and quiet, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular!

Convenient, cosy, with lots of character.

Pros: Lovely restaurant downstairs, where we ate on our first night, and good continental breakfast. Coffee machine, kettle and fridge in room were good, but nowhere to cook so don't expect to self cater. Based in the centre of this quiet but attractive village, which has an excellent market on Fridays, and is handy for visiting Leiden, Den Haag and further afield. Clean room and comfy beds, quiet despite being above the restaurant.

Cons: We had a private bathroom but in a separate room from the bedroom - ours was down three steps and across the corridor. We knew this when we booked but it was a bit more annoying than I'd expected. I must be getting old! Also I'd forgotten how much people still smoke in NL - the smell of smoke when eating breakfast was not great.
