B&B Hart van Leiden

Pros: Loved our stay. The host was lovely and her communication was great. Thank you for letting us keep our pram on the ground floor. It was a gorgeous room in a stunning location overlooking the canal, just a few minutes away from such pretty streets and neighbourhoods.

Pros: This B&B is a gem, and the owner is very friendly! We highly recommend it. Excellent value for money.

Cons: Stairs are indeed very steep.

Pros: This was our second stay here. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about Leiden. The location is excellent, very quiet, overlooking a canal and in a traditional Dutch house. It is a short walk to the centre, with the Pieterskerk, museums, shops, bars and restaurants.

Cons: This is not a 'dislike' but please be aware that the stairs to the upper floors are quite steep - it is a characterful old house!

Staying there made my trip to Leiden even more special

Pros: What a lovely and perfect stay! The host, Monique, is so friendly and kind. It was so nice to talk to her and she gave me ideas of places to visit in the city. She made me feel at home. The house is so beautiful from the outside and so charming on the inside. My room was big, super cozy and had an amazing view of the canal on the street. It was so relaxing to sit by the window and appreciate the view at night, after walking the whole day in the city. The beds were so comfy that it was hard for me to get up in the morning lol. The bathroom is outside the room, but right next to it. It was big and spotless clean. I loved everything and I definetely recommend staying at this place.

Cons: I was sad I had to leave. The B&B Hart van Leiden stole my heart.

Wonderfully appointed apartment in the heart of Leiden

Pros: Great location but the apartment itself is a very well appointed renovation of a historic building. We loved staying there.

Cons: We loved the apartment and would definitely choose it again. The staircase to the 1st floor though is narrow and steep as ALL historic buildings in Leiden.

Wonderful, we would definitely recommend this B&B & hope to return.

Perfect place to stay in Leiden

Pros: The hostess was kind and really friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The location was wonderful, a walking distance from all the sights and the railway station.

Cons: Everything was perfect. The stairs to the room may be challenging for some but for us it was not a problem.

Perfect highly recommended place to stay. Monique was a fabulous host with great care to our needs

Cons: Our room was up on the third level accessed by steep stairs- not unexpected in an old / historic building but a challenge with large suitcases

Pros: On a pleasant central canal within mins of Leiden centre.

Cons: The bathroom although for our use only was not in the room but on the landing outside the room. No AC & room got hot.
