All in all we really enjoyed our short stay.

Pros: The room was very clean and there were kitchen gadgets like coffee machine, kettle, stove.. tea and coffee tabs were included :)

Cons: Breakfast was a bit too expensive for what was served. I wouldn’t book it again.

Very nice apartment, perfect for short or long vacation!

Pros: The apartment is much bigger than expected. It is big, clean, comfortable and beautiful. There is a standard kitchen which we could prepare our meals. The location is very good, just few steps away from the beach. It is also only 10 minutes walk from the town center. Everything could be reached by feet. Very friendly, easy and helpful owner who responded very fast when we need help. Thank you! The apartment is located in a quiet area, good for sleep in the night. Paid parking just around the corner, very easy to reach from the apartment. There are a lot of towels inside the bathroom. Easy check-out.

Cons: The apartment is quite dark, especially the bathroom and the living room + kitchen area. Check-in is not so easy, we had to drive to other house to collect the key upon arrival, it was quite complicated especially if you arrived in a rainy evening. The pan inside the kitchen is too small for cooking.

Pros: Nice small kitchen with cofeemaker. Cofee and tea available. Good WiFi. Beach quite close.

Pros: Location was good but not at this time of year. Appartment was clean and comfy Hosts were very helpful and informative as best they could. The dutch people are very friendly and lovely . I would not hesitate to go back to holland now I know how it all works. It has certainly been an expensive learning curve Bikes would have been ideal to see lots however we could not hire as it never stopped raining, hailstorm s , and snow .

Cons: Wrong time of year for seaside resort It was bitterly cold and raining and nothing to do. Would have liked more info on the trains and buses and locations for travel round the country and know where to go to park as the car did become a problem as it was all unclear round holland where to park if you ventured out in your car. I chose to go on a road trip however the stress of parking put paid to that and we did not know where to go to get a bus or train till end of our stay. It was difficult to communicate unless in amsterdam as we do not speak dutch and the language is hard to learn and understand . Our meal out locally meant we had to use our phones to translate what was on the menu. We also left a tip however it had already been added to our bill. Information on spending cash would also have been helpful as we did bring cash but could not spend it as most things were plastic only. More info on holland and a map would have been helpful . Maybe more info should be given up front before getting there . When self catering you do not get the same info as what a hotel offers. I would stay in a hotel in a main place in future and venture out from there.

Cosy apartment next to the sea

Pros: Cosy apartment next to the sea, spotless clean, convenient, and with a great consistent breakfast. The breakfast a priori comes in a basket every morning around 9, but since I had to leave early during the week, I asked to have it the evening before -- very convenient.

Cons: The bed is made of two twin beds.

We had a lovely stay

Pros: Facility would be amazing in the summer, as it's so close to the beach. it's super close to the Katwijk car free shopping street and there a quite a few supermarkets within walking distance. We were there in winter, the room was nicely heated and there are air units so I imagine in summer will be cool. We didn't use it but here was a lovely balcony with seating.

Cons: My only gripe would be the small cupboard squashed away in one corner of the room, not easy to access and badly lit. There is no lift, and typical for traditional Dutch houses a very narrow steep staircase. Something to keep in mind if you have heavy suitcases or less mobility.

Pros: Quiet area, cozy place. Fully functioning kitchenette. Beach, bus stop, and shops nearby.

Cons: The sound isolation wasn't that great, you could hear people walking upstairs.

Pros: The location is very nice for both relax vacations near the see and also it was not difficult to go by busses and\\or trains to the beautiful places of the Netherlands.

Cons: the staircases are quite steep
